Only thing he lacks that Dwight has is mostly strength, Dwight Howard was just as skinny when he was in high school but now he is built like a rock. He needs to really hit the gym hard and bulk up and he'll be a force to be wreckon with because i think he is a bit more gifted on offense then Dwight is, and don't get me wrong, I'm not taking anything away from Dwight he's a beast, all i'm saying is that don't sleep on Derrick Favors.

@largec When Dwight was Derrick's age he actually benched less than what Favors did. Dwight did 7 reps at the combine and Derrick did 14. Every other measurable was basically identical. But at this point in time yeah Dwight is definitely stronger but he's got 5 years on this kid. Ha Favors is gonna be a beast. He already has a better jump shot than Dwight, too. Like you said, he's more gifted offensively.

dunking doesn't make a great player lets see this guy make a jump shot or a free throw for that matter. avg height of high school player 6' avg college 6'4" avg pro 6'5" so i doubt the blocking will even continue even at 6'9" he's got to be able to make a shot and handle the ball. he'll be forgot about after his first season at tech

No he won't, theirs a good chance he's a top 5 pick and possibly #1 overall. He is a great shooter for a big man so I am pretty sure you've never seen him play live because you wouldn't question his shot or handles.
