  • To a great extent it's a strum stick with an extra string; narrower than a standard mandolin and easier to pack away.

    It sounds a little weaker than a standard mandolin, but still has a good tone. I like it.

  • Good idea but the mandolin is small already, I don't think there is a need for a travel mandolin? Apologies for the negativity as it seems like a nice sounding instrument,

  • What a neat little instrument! Forgive me if this sounds naive, but Is the "traveling mandolin" something traditional, or did you design this yourself?

  • Not really traditional - the design is my own but the general idea is similar to the backpacker guitar, sweet pea mandolin etc.

  • Great instrument and playing!!! 5 stars!!!
