  • I don't know how anyone can say two men or two women cannot raise kids?? Daniel and Salena are so happy in this video. It makes me smile to see all of you playing. Remember the family that plays togather stays togather! Continue please!

  • All families are wonderful, Gays are like everyone else, just to have peace and love.

  • U guys are truly so inspiring. Thank you for posting these videos. Im 17, and they give me hope for my life! Dont listen to the haters on here!

  • this is adorable! jay and bryan you both should be so proud of yourselves you have two beautiful children who love both of you equally! And both of you have given them unconditional love that they would never have got in the home your rescued them from! they are always smiling. Everyone should watch your videos and maybe then the nasty commentors would change their minds! P.S you and bryan make a cute couple aswell :) congrats guys remember your the ones who put the smiles on selina and daniel!

  • Love is the only thing that matters in life. If you have that, you have everything.

  • if marriage becomes legalized then polygamous marriage should be legalized too.

  • I love one man my husband the bond between the two of us is no different then you and your wife or husband

  • then it should be no different then 3, or 4 people all in love with one another. It could happen, and it actually does!

But no one would dare try to get polygamous marriage legalized! Why don't you guys support that? There are some people in love who are in a polygamous relationship who wish to marry.

  • One has nothing to do with the other, Dafawky.

  • no, that's not true. it has very much to do with the other. The goal is marriage equality, so if gays can marry so should polygamous families, yet no one ever really says a word about legalizing that because it's the most "taboo" in people's minds in society, even to many gay people.

  • your arguments are absurd at best.

  • not really. there are lots of great polygamous families. perfect argument.

  • @depfox ur so disgusting u shouldnt be allowed to have children because u are gay, I mean how can u like another man its just NASTY!

  • @sk8rkid795 Yeah, they shouldn't have children because they love each other, and there kids, and are perfectly normal and happy, but you have the utter right, you and every other hater, to raise and teach your children with hate, and unjustness that is uncivil and unjust? Stupid homophobic coward >:/

  • As H. L. Mencken observed, "It is very difficult to educate the American peasant, but it is easy to frighten him." Fawky, your reasoning is faulty!

  • web don't have "peasants" in America, so your reasoning is faulty. so HA HA HA! =)

  • @DaFawky, you just proved my point for me.

  • @uranian99 umm, not really. I proved my point that gay people SAY they wants equality bu t they only think of themselves. they only think about "gay marriage", even though they *proclaim* to be all about "equal marriage". They don't think about the trannies or the polygamous people, even thouh their love is just the same.

funny how depfox could only reply with "our love is no different then wife & husband" when thats not at all what i was talking about. He didnt want 2 mention plural families.

  • There's a big difference between wanting more than one spouse and being able to marry even just the ONE you love. And we don't exist in a historic vacuum. Are you going to blame the African Americans for not supporting same-sex marriage in the 1960's too?

You're lucky a moron like you can post on YouTube anonymously.

  • dafawky: nope, you're the moron. You are using projection.

There is no "big difference". Both are wanting the same rights. that's what they have in common. A man or woman shouldn't have to CHOOSE if they all 3 LOVE each other. why does it HAVE to be ONE? Why can't they all 3 marry each other? If a man *has* to choose only one wife, then YOU *have* to choose the opposite sex. if not, then too bad, it's not equal. and that's that. they dont support plural marriages = not equal

  • @xXDemonomonomicXx

Oh God. Here we go. There is a big difference. At least you can marry one person if you're straight and polygamous. Gay people can't even marry the one person they love. So I think before polygamous people start getting all up in arms they should realize their privileges first.

  • @hrhsam no, you don't have to choose. if you all 3 love each other you can't help that. If you have to choose one girlfriend over another to marry, then you have to choose to marry a girl instead of a boy. Polygamous people don't have privaledges, they are polygamous, NOT monogamous. gay people are gay, not straight. same fucking issue.

  • @xXDemonomonomicXx

I disagree. I think we're approaching the issue from completely different strains of thought, and it would take an actual conversation to work this out. I'd rather not bash someone anonymously on the net...it's pointless to me.

  • @hrhsam

please don't hate me for dragging you back here 5 months too late - i'm for same-sex marriage - but i do wonder sometimes how far acceptance is supposed to go. I guess this guy is trying to say that marriage-equality logics might even work for some of the issues that same-sex people/friends don't support. polygamy is not a good example. how about ( and I'm NOT comparing) consensual incest? states have laws against siblings marrying.

  • @DaFawky Funny thing there, first of all marriage is already legal. Second thing is that yes, absolutely, polygamy should be legalized. The tradition of polygamy has been common for thousands of years and is still widely practiced today. In fact most of the old testament and much of the New endorses the practice. It wasnt until the last 100 years or so that fanatic Christians vilified it.

  • Why? They look fine to me

  • Willi, why would you say something like that?

  • Hey guys! I was offline most of the weekend, but I wanted to wish your family a very Happy Thanksgiving! Looks like you guys had a really great one.

  • This may be a weird question, but with Daniel's condition, is there anything he can't do? Like physically, is it dangerous for him to do some things? You may have answered that before, but I'm just curious.

  • well he is a little tilted so he isnt a good runner. But we tell daniel that he can do anything in life that he wants to do. Right now he talks about being a cop like me but sadly I know that he wont be able to pass the Medical requirements in order to be a police offiicer. I would never tell him that. I think we should let kids dream as long as possible the world is hard enoufe without me raining on his future.

  • That's a wise decision, Jay. Kids change their minds about their future profession so many times during puberty that it won't be an issue anymore by the time he finally decides.

BTW, in your videos you mentioned that Daniel already underwent several surgeries and he'll need more in the future. When is his next surgery and what does he feel about you covering it in your videos? does he mind it or he won't care? It would be great to see you helping him through the process, but not if he minds it.

  • Well he needs to have jaw recontrution surgery but not sure when that is going to be. he needs to have surgery on his legs but once again not sure when that will be. It all depends how he grows and what happens with his body. we have been very lucky that things are growing pretty good. he sees the dentist at least twice a month he is having exstensive work done. I guess we will have to see what daniel things about fimiling stuff when we get to it.

  • Well, I wish Daniel the best: to grow strong, including internally (I know from my own experience how hard can it be when something is wrong with your health, but eventually it makes you a stronger person if you have people who support you, and that he does: he has great parents who always will be there for him).

  • Hello from Florida! I just now got a chance to watch this, and laughed my head off! Thank you for the smiles! Happy Thanksgiving to you too! Lots to be thankful for this year, for great achievements, small favours, and persevering through the hard times.

    Love,

    Sama

  • you guys have such a sweet family ;)

  • I had to work for Thanksgiving, but I was thankful for that because 1) now I'm working and 2) I will be off on Christmas day!

  • cool glad you will be off on x-mas

  • I am glad too. That is my big family holiday. I enjoy spending time with my parents, sister, niece and nephew (as well as close friends). Maybe this year I'll finally have convinced them not to buy me anything! I know I can only afford small gifts for the kids, and it isn't about the presents to me.

  • Ok, I will apologize. I do not live the lifestyle so I probably do not understand it in the same perspective. Best of wishes for your family.

  • :O) thank you for being open to debate you are the people we hope to reach with this very video those that are on the side lines when it comes to gay rights marriage Equality. Thank you for taking the time to let us hear your voice. The story i mentioned is on our blog if you choose to read it.

  • You don't need to be gay or to live "this lifestyle," as you say, because it's not the sexuality issue, it's about civil rights and fair treatment of people that just live differently.

And it's not, it shouldn't be about religion, but people make it about religion imposing on other people and falsely claiming that the institution of marriage belongs to Christianity. It's a lie. Marriage came from Christian tradition the way we know it now, but religion can't claim it as its own!

  • It reminds me of childish game...

Christian guy says, "Oh, I call dibs on monogamous marriage!" and smiles. Others become gloomy, but Islamic guy says, "Oh, and I call dibs on polygamous marriage!" and smiles even wider. Others become even gloomier. They start to whisper something like "And what is left for us?"

    Doesn't it sound silly?

    Calling dibs? Really? No, really?

NOM seriously needs a mental check-up.

  • Its even more silly there are two types of marriage in the USA those done in court houses legal contracts and those done in the church. So for any Christian/Islamic groups who try to say that the legal contracts performed in court houses infringes on there religiouse marriages are just silly. Ps my church married me and bryan so they are telling my Christian church that they cant perform there marriages. Bizar

  • Part I

One of the greatest confusions for American people is that a legal contract issued by a City Hall employee AND a wedding ceremony performed by a priest is, in fact, the same thing.

We try to make an argument that it is not and we are not trying to impose on religious tradition by demanding marriage equality, we simply ask our government to allow issuing marriage licenses for same-sex couples.

  • Part II

How religions would define these unions — is up to them. Whatever they decide, we can't forbid them to have their opinions, to proclaim that they don't recognize this union.

On the other hand, we also have a right to have our own religion that recognizes our unions and we have a right to have wedding ceremonies, and no one have a right to forbid us to wed.

It's simple as that. It's our fundamental Constitutional right — freedom of religion (guaranteed by First Amendment).

  • Well, i already apologized because I honestly am not in their shoes. I do see the civil rights issues. however, The coming together of man and woman to create a family has been around way before Christianity. There were rituals of joining man and woman that may not have been called "marriage" at the time.

  • What makes this discussion difficult, is the fact that in the US the people can actually vote on gay peoples rights with their definition of what marriage is, as they believe. I personally dont care much about what people believe marriage should be/is etc, but the fact that you can vote and thus put your views on gay peoples lifes makes it really a different discussion than if others dont have that right to vote basic equality away. I believe its dangerous thats even possible.

  • @summersonset

And these people get to scream that somebody's trying to redefine marriage, when they vote effectively defining what marriage is (redefining it specifically to exclude gay people from those who have a right to marry). Double standards in all their glory.

  • Very very true, Kirille.

  • i dont define what marriage is, history can do that for you. The subject for discussion is, should we alter what has been a fundamental basis for what we call a family? Like i said in my other comment, animals and people evolve to what meets their needs. i am not denying that gay couples could raise a family. it is more so do we change the social view on what institutes marriage just because you demand it.

  • Absolutely. If gays can raise a family then why shouldn't we change it if they demand equality? If gay couples are capable of raising kids and having families then what is the problem?

  • I mean when black people demanded we make interracial marriage legal, we did because there was simply no compelling reason not to.

  • Marriage used to be defined by ownership laws. Divorce was not part of marriage but yet heterosexuals have decided to make divorce a major part of marriage. I wonder if people want to honer and protect marriage why they dont ban Divorce.

  • On the other hand, meta evolution theory of social groups states that nature invented homosexuality as a way to reroute social animals' sexuality into an infertile same-sex relationship, salvaging parental instincts of homosexual individuals letting them to adopt an orphan young instead of producing their own through natural reproduction. This way orphan kids get to have parents, while infertile parents get to bring up a child.

So, nature here is one step ahead of us creating real gay families.

  • I do agree with you there, you see the re-routing of social animals in many cases. In prison being one, animals faced in an un-ordinary situation still display roles. The same goes with regular animals as to why a male dog will hump a male dog. I am not denying that happens, but it happens in extra ordinary conditions in nature.

  • Zoklor

You're starting to get a gist of it, but not quite right.

We, gay people, declare that it was not our choice, that we never chose to be gay, because we simply were never given that choice. We believe that people are born with their sexuality determined already, we don't know how, we don't know why, but we feel that our sexuality is hardwired in our brain.

Alterations are possible, but they all operate like workarounds that do not rewrite the existing programming of our behavior.

  • @KirilleXXI

did you read bryan's blogpost about some scientific progress in same-sex reproduction? that would disprove meta evolution theory. plus, if some one wants biological kids (and a lot of people will as the social stance changes) they can always arrange for something.

  • Well, so what? Because something is old that makes it correct? Slavery has been around for thousands of years, that didn't mean it shouldn't have changed. And actually, the first marriages were polygamy, not one man and one woman.

  • Many ancient people aslo performed gay marriages thru out history. When my family visited greece about 10 years ago we came a cross a silver wedding goblet celebrating two mens unions. One day I plan to make a movie about that goblet and Ancient cultures that perfomed gay ceremonies.

  • depfox, if you can make a video about the greek silver wedding and the samesex unions they once had, and some other ancient cultures had, I'd be very interested to learn about it.

  • Bryan did a blog on it. I feel sometimes I am not great at putting images with words in video format my weekness I need to learn how to do it better.

  • depfox, Im thinking each person has their own style and preference in what works best for them and what they are good at :)

Also, I now recall Bryan's blog article about it. My mind is jammed with too much stuff lately. I will read it soon. Thanks.

  • And before that, marriage consisted of one man and many women, or the joining of one man and his property. Marriage has changed. It's not static.

  • You're sweet...but please don't call it a "lifestyle'. That word makes it sound like being gay is a choice for an alternate way of life as opposed to being straight. For the majority (if not all) it is not a choice or a "lifestyle". Being GLB or T is as much a part of who you are as the color of your eyes.

  • I agree well said me and bryan adopting our kids is a lifestyle choice being gay is natural and I didnt have a choice in the matter

  • They don't live a lifestyle any different from most people. Sexual preferences aren't really lifestyles. Not all gay people have the same lifestyle.

  • what wonderful children...you two are great parents :-)

  • Fun to see how you spent your Thanksgiving. I'm far from my family and in Canada so no hoIiday here. It made me feel good to share a small part of your day. love your videos and I support you both ! Have a great weekend and am looking foreward to your Christmas videos. Show us when you put up your tree !

  • Tnx for the video Happy late ThanksGiving...............

  • <3 i have nothing but love for you guys

  • Obviously they were able to adopt some kids, and it looks like they are doing a fine job. That stuff is noticed. I just think its kind of like a kid running up to his teacher telling him he was gay because he got a 100% on a test just like the other kids. Whats your point?

  • I do agree with anothers statement as to why homosexuals have to feel so exclusive. You are the same as heterosexuals and often have the same values. So why make it Homo family values? It kind of falls into the politicization of ethnicity with being a chinese american, or a african american. Whats wrong with american? The need to self identify doesnt support a claim to normalcy.

  • Zoklor, its others that exclude homosexuals or make in a big deal. Gays&Lesbians (and bisexuals) want equality, it are others who dont want them to have it. To show gays are no different and are deserving of equal treatment & rights and are like any other people & family, you have to show as a gay person, you are no different. Its a paradox.

  • Well, I can see that point to an extent, however, I think showing instead of demanding is a more effective way to gain things. just like other minorities, so soon to blame their environment for their downfalls. i can tell you honestly, i dont think the majority of the country is trying to hold anyone down. I also dont think the majority of people care if someone is gay.

  • Unfortunately, the majority does care & it is against GLBTQ people: look at the results of elections in 31 states — every state where the question of same-sex marriage was put to vote, rejected this proposal. It means that the majority of population is not OK with gay people. This is the reason we have to be out in the open, to show people that we are not that different, to educate them about our issues & to change their minds. Only when it happens, it won't matter anymore if someone is gay.

  • Aww hunny...I agree. Don't forget though, that Massachusetts approved gay marriage...and Im so proud of my home state ! Dont feel bad...I'm sure that in the future most states will come around as Massachusetts did ...God is with gay people and He loves them.....a miracle will happen ...you'll see !

  • @Tiffanynicolina

Actually, I was talking only about those 31 states where people had an opportunity to vote on referendum — all those states rejected same-sex marriages, which means that people everywhere were against marriage equality.

Massachusetts never had a public vote (as of yet), the decision was made by the Supreme Court that ruled in favor of marriage equality. Several attempts to ban same-sex marriages were luckily unsuccessful.

This is the way to go: no public votes on civil rights!

  • Understood KirilleXXI and of course you're facts are correct!! My point is not to despair or feel irreversable defeat. The GLBT community (which I love with all my heart) need to press on....to know that in time good things will happen if they don't allow this to stop them from continuing the fight for equality. Hugs :)

  • @Tiffanynicolina

    Thank you for your support!

What we really need is straight people discussing these issues with their families & friends, describing their gay friends, inviting them over for family dinners to show that we are normal and interesting people.

About despair & defeat. Truth be told, we can't be happy about that, but hope is always with us. I'm completely sure that equality will prevail! No doubt! And every word we get out there, every conversation we have, bring this day closer.

  • Zokor, its not blaming the environment, its fact the environment wants gays to be not equal, not to have rights, the majority of Americans think that When 31 out of 50 states has marriage banned, what KirilleXXI explained, that must give you an indication.

  • Well, I have to agree on marriage thing. It is just a natural thing that a man and woman get married. What is wrong with civil unions?

  • Well, there you go, zoklor, youre part of the people of the environment that creates the problems, but that was already clear.

  • No im not. I dont create any problems. i dont care if gay couples do whatever they want. This is america. I just dont see why you feel that the whole world needs to change thousands of years of marital tradition. Civil union is just fine in my opinion. It is legal and you have rights under it. Whats wrong with that? Honestly though if you want to say i am the problem, why dont you move to the middle east and try and even be OPEN about being gay. i swear, its never enough for some people.

  • I would like to see how you felt if you had to beg people to allow you to mary the love of your life.

  • Zoklor, I wrote a reply but it didnt post. I live in a country where gay marriage was legalized almost 9 years ago by parliament, largely based on anti-discrimination & equality rights. Offering anything less is a discrimination. So maybe you understand now some people get pissed off a bit when you tell hem they should be happy with being discriminated against, because thats what happens if you say gay people should be content with civil unions. I hope that makes sense to you.

  • Civil unions aren't the same as marriage both in word and effect. The fact is that words have meaning and power, and marriage is generally considered a legitimized, respectable institution. Besides the actual rights, a lot of this is about being treated with respect and as equals with one's heterosexual counterparts. "Civil unions" is separate and not equal--a subtle form of segregation. I have more to respond to but I'll do it in another post because of the posting limit. =/

  • Very well said

  • «Why is it so important to have the right to get married?»

    Link: bit[.]ly/5QdGg

I posted it right before Maine, explaining why civil unions is not enough. It's not because of greed or envy. I simply don't want to call my loved one a husband and then apologize to str8 people saying, «Oh, I'm sorry, of course it's "partner," not "husband," we're not allowed to use this word, because it's not a real marriage.» I don't want to make excuses to those who wanna make me think I worth less than I do.

  • I don't think anybody is saying America is a bad country. But that doesn't mean it's perfect and there's always room for improvement. For you "civil unions" are fine, because you're not in the shoes of those who are being discriminated against. It's understandable, but just as it's hard for people to see your standpoint, try to see things from the perspective of others as well. People aren't trying to be difficult for the sake of it. They're enraged and upset for a reason.

  • Civil unions create a line between gay couples and straight ones that makes it more likely for gay couples to get the shorter end of the stick. Our government didn't give segregated schools equal treatment, even though they promised to, so what makes you think it would give straight marriages and gay civil unions equal treatment? Plus, civil unions don't offer the same rights as marriage, the federal government doesn't recognize them so any federal rights with marriage the couple can't have.

  • They would have you stoned in a second.......Be grateful you live in a land of such freedom, but dont try and contort the history of marriage with your lifestyle. You know, you really pissed me off with saying I am the problem. i never ever would make fun of it and I just try and look at it objectively.

  • You are the problem when people like you say things like let them have civil unions it lets you the majority hurt us the Minority and that is telling us that we arnt true Americans who only get some of the rights of a free country. My family My friends my church would all disagree with you.

  • @Zoklor

It's really sad that you don't see the difference!

Civil unions do not guarantee same rights as marriage, only some of them. This is strike one.

Forbidding people to have a secular union with the same name, benefits & protections as heterosexual marriage is a disgraceful form of discrimination, kinda saying "You don't deserve what we have!". That's strike two.

Basically, it's not just about the name, it's about being treated differently. Sexual segregation is no better than racial one.

  • Because seperate is not eqaule my love is not worth less then yours thats why. PS i can give you ten stories of couples that where treated differetnly because they where not married. A story of a lady in florida who sat in the waiting room with here two kids while her civil union partner of 18 years died in the next room. Alls she wanted to do was say good bye to the love or her life. She was told no by everone there who said she was not family and that florida doesnt accept civil unions....

  • I think showing and demanding both can be useful ways of demanding civil rights. There are times when taking the soft approach is more effective. At other times it's not enough and a backdrop of more aggressive politcking is needed.

On "minorities" blaming "their environment," the fact is that both the individual AND environment account for one's "downfall". We can discuss this more if you'd like.

On the majority holding people down, whether by intent or design the oppression is happening.

  • I understand the point you are trying to make Zoklor. However I must disagree with the statement that homosexuals are the "same" as heterosexuals. We definitely do have similarities (moreso than differences) but in many cases the 2 groups are still TREATED quite DIFFERENTLY. That's like the whole point! Acting like minority groups don't exist and that the human race is 1 big happy family is naive particularly when they're disenfranchised and treated like 2nd class citizens.

  • We started making these vides as a response to prop8 in CA. We are making them for educational purposes. if we called then family values we wouldnt be reaching the people we want to reach with these videos. The way the internet works is by search words. So when you add "GAY" you reach people wanting to find gay themed topics. In my life I dont go by gay I go by jay or the leffews.

  • LOL, who got to stuff the turkey? All that aside, your kids are cute. Surrogate parents have been done in nature and other animals do raise the young of other species. The question i have really though is, does it translate to humans with a higher emotional and cognitive status? I am up in the air about others comments, however, it seems like you guys do the family thing pretty good.

  • Selena the leaf compactor lol

  • I'm glad that you had a great T-day...

I had an enjoyable day sitting in a dark house watching Punkin' Chunkin' everybody felt sorry for me because my mom and dad live so far away...

So everyone brought me food. I think I got the Better Deal...

peace & quiet 4 a change...I cried when team inherisa II chunker fell apart

big bear hugs too the whole family

  • If only you could contribute something positive instead of something spiteful you would be a better human being and this would be a better country. How sad to be you.

  • It's not a question of homosexuality per se, no one here is trying to undermine heterosexual families. What Leffews do is show people that there is no difference whatsoever between heterosexual and gay family (except that in gay family there are two daddies or two mommies). Parents are parents, kids are kids. Anyone can see that "The Kids are Alright", they have home, loving parents, they're fed, clad & shod, they have everything they need, and brother & sister (by blood) get to stay together.

  • My way of thinking is, that, as long as people say that they have gay family values and not just family values they are separating gays and heterosexuals into two different camps.

I would have preferred the video not mention the parents sexual preference, just as a heterosexual made video about a family would not mention it.

I dont understand why they believe that their sexual preference has anything to do with how well they can care for a child.

  • As long as people have prejudices against gay families, we have to fight those misconceptions by being an example and emphasizing that this is a gay family, but it doesn't make this family less of a family.

Title "Family Values in a Gay Family" looks more appropriate, but it's too long and complicated.

I don't remember any gay references in this video itself.

Again, no one is saying that gay family is better, on the contrary, people show you that they are just like any other family.

  • these videos are made for educational reasons we are trying to bring awarness to the struggles are family come across an a society that doesnt want to give us the protections of marriage. Gay is in the title purly for search purposes. Plus my family doesnt have a problem with the word Gay. It is just another identifier used to describe men who are homosexuale. Maybe you should ask yourself what is it about the word that bothers you so much?

  • It doesn't bother me. I see now that you do this to get more people to watch the video.

  • this is lovely!!! how cute!!!

  • Nice!!! Those are a lot of leaves to rake up!! You have good helpers. I hope your Thanksgiving was good! Peace!

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE the new intro!!!!!

  • I think this may be my favourite video of yours! Hope you guys had a great day!

  • I hope you guys had an awesome Thanksgiving. I love the new holiday intro. I'm so ready for Christmas!!!

  • LOL. Hope your family had a wonderful day. Take Care Leffew family. :)

  • aw this is cute. yes I'm computer literate but I don't know how to do my own intros. maybe I will learn soon haha

  • I hope you guys had the best day!

  • Luke, the entrance was amazing. Great Thanksgiving video. Kids usually don't enjoy raking leaves, and it's nice to see they do ;-). I enjoy how jay got into the mess of the lea pile.

    Happy (Late) Thanksgiving.

    Nice haircut Brian.

  • You guys really make me have hope for the future. You have a lovely family and I can only aspire to be as happy as your in the future. Well done and keep up the great pride you bring to our community xx

  • such a sweet family! especially when ur daughter said she was thankful for her family, tht was so cute!

  • this is awesome, i always jumped in the pile, even with the doggie poo, occasionally, LOL, my mom hated us for awhile, but we had good fun. omg, Selena and Daniel had me laughing so loud, thanks so much for this!!!!

  • The funny thing is we kepts smeeling Poo but couldnt find it LOL

  • Hi everyone, love your thanksgiving video :) I think I might get brave a ask a video question soon, big fan from England x

  • That would be cool the last video didnt get a lot of love and no knew questions.

  • You guys are great role-models and representatives of the lgbt community!

  • This

  • Wow that could be your most adorable video yet. I have such a big smile on my face after watching that! I've never ever actually done the throwing myself into the leaves thing. That's probably because I never rake leaves though. I think it's great that you guys are instilling proper work ethics into your kids but also being creative about the process and making it fun. Plus you made it a family event!

LOL @ Selena being put in a trash can and used as a leaf pusher downer...and LOVING IT!

    Please adopt me !!! lol

  • LOL I love the way this looks even tho I sooo cant understand it.

  • It says, "I'm so jealous of those kids. This is exactly the kind of family I've dreamed of. I really want to build a family, despite [living in] such a rigid society. However, children make it easy to decide and resolve to overcome the pressure of things like the prejudice of others. I really think becoming a parent is a much deeper thing [for LGBTs] than it is for male-female families."

And from me, awesome video, guys. Looks like you had fun today. :D

  • Thank you for your translation.

Mine was incorrect, so I removed it.

  • you're kids are so amazing.

  • Bryan and Jay!! I love you guys soooo much you both are soooo flipping awesome. I hope that some day im half as happy as you guys are. I truly am sooo happy for you guys. Bryan? cranberry sauce? when i was younger i was so embarrased that i liked cranberry sauce that i would sneak shovelfulls of it in my mouth so my cousins wouldnt judge me. also i love pickled herring. i eat that all the time im a closeted pickled heriring fan

  • what is Pickled Heriring?

  • Pickled herring is an appetizer, dear Dep. You will find it in Jewish and Scandinavian delicatessens. Sometimes it is made with just vinegar or sometimes with sour cream. In both cases, they have onions. Many people make it at home to cut down costs as sometimes it can be expensive. I confess Im partial to it myself. Think Ill run out and buy a jar with some pumpernickel. Yum!

  • Happy Thanksgiving Leffew Family!!! I love the video! :)

  • Happy thanksgiving ,love the new entry :)

    xxxx

  • Happy thanksgiving. -from The Nederlands (Holland)

  • Great video!

  • Happy thanksgiving to all of you.

  • Happy Thanksgiving! :D Its so nice to see your family enjoying jumping in the leaves~!:

  • Daddy Jay has to work out a little more.

Bryan has less hair since the last video XD.

    Loved it.

  • Oh, how I miss crunchy leaves! I'm from Indiana, but I live in AZ. The holidays just don't feel right... it's too warm!

  • AWW OMG you guys are so cool, very very sweet : )

I'm gonna show your vids to my mom and dad just so they see that a gay family is just like anyother family (dad's still has some misconceptions about adoption by lgbt ppl). He'll get around eventually. I'm just very thankful that they accept me as I am completely.

Bless you guys and have a HAPPY THANKS GIVING!!

  • It would be a real honer if you show your dad ;O)

  • Happy Thanksgiving, don't eat too much turkey :p

  • Our leaves were off the trees last month and Thanksgiving was also last month.

Happy thanks giving, I hope it is happy and memorable.

  • raking??? I thought u didnt get falling leaves in Cal.??? Happy Thanksgiving guys Peace - rex

  • Heh, heh! Dear Rex, Californians deliberately plant deciduous trees (like maple) so they CAN rake up the leaves every year! That way, we can have our Fall Fun like everyone else. We get so tired of palm trees. True, its not as fun as shoveling snow, but we can always MAKE that! Happy Holidays!

  • i really wanna jump in that pile of laves xd

  • Well, that was surprisingly unusual to see the family outside in the neighborhood (I expected to see a family dinner when I saw the title of this video).

I liked the whole idea of doing outdoor chores on holiday occasions, kinda like a party, not a chore anymore. Gotta tell my parents about that.

Happy Thanksgiving from Russia to Leffews and their fans here!

And, since thanksgiving is about saying "thanks", I wanna thank your family for just being out there and making so much for so many of us!

  • Happy Thanksgiving to you and your beautiful family!

  • Lol, I loved it! It made me smile. Although just so you know Bryan, Canadian Thanksgiving is usually the second Monday of October :P

Happy Thanksgiving to you guys from Canada!

  • Raking leaves seems like such a mundane thing, but this video turned out to be wonderful. Happy Thanksgiving!

  • Happy Thanksgiving to you all!!

As for the leaves, looks like too much hard ward, I'd just let nature take its course ;)! LOL!!!

    Your Irish pal,

    Paul.

  • Daddy Brian's just standing there watching them, saying "you guys've got a BIIIG job to do!"

    xD
