yes i will clarify it for you because i own one.the oval exhausts are standard.the overlapping ones are optional stainless steel exhaust tips.the pse can come with either one,depending on whether you order the stainless steel ones.and to clarify what type of sport exhaust it is,it is a factory installed option from porsche,whether it is fabricated by another company,that i cannot say

It is probably a Kreissieg exhaust (Japan made). It is the best exhaust sytem for Porsches.--better than any German made I've heard or seen! Kreissieg cat-back exhaust cost $5800! Sounds like F1 cars...

Thanks for putting this up. Such a great sound. I've never understood though why some sports exhausts have differently shaped tail pipes, oval and a circle overlapping a circle. Can anyone clarify for me?

because when most people look at a car and it has a single oval exhaust and then another car with twin exhausts theyll naturally believe the twin exhaust car is faster.

the same is with porsche carrera has oval exhausts

and carrera s have twin exhaust (but different to the 996 in this video, they no longer overlap)

i think i remember that the overlapping pipes were just an extra option for the pse. the silencer ist the same on the ones with pse and oval pipes.
