  • Thanks, I really learn alot from your videos. Can't wait until I can make it look as easy as you....sigh

  • Hi wow what an artist you are ! IF you were to sell one of these beads, how much would you charge? I am thinking of learning to do lampwork for profit :0)Paula

  • @paulasmits Hi Paula. You are going to have to check ebay and Etsy for the going rates for flame/lamp worked beads. The artistry of the bead is only one component, as an artist you have to establish a reputation and a client base. I just do this as a hobby and I teach classes, I don't usually sell my work so I honestly don't know the answer to your question.

  • this is awesome i really want to do this now lol but i just have some questions; like were could i get all of these materials?? nd how much would it cost in total and also how do you take the bead out of the rod??

  • Thank you for the video! Some greedy gretchen on LE is charging $25.00 for a .pdf tutorial of this exact same technique. Your willingness to share this without ripping people off is highly appreciated!

  • It gets very hard to get a tall disk to condense directly back down on its self. With a tall disk, the disk usually flops over to one side and ruins the effect.

  • So im really curious as to why building a tall disc would have complicated things. If you could explain I'd appreciate it.

  • Once again, great tutorial. You are probably the best You Tube lampworking teacher out there!

  • Спасибо

    The best tutorial :)

  • i love your videos! i am just starting out and have already learned so much. thank you very much!!!

  • I have been teaching myself to make lampworked beads for the last few months, and your videos have helped SO MUCH! You definitely have the best tutorials out there, I know I speak for everyone when I say that we appreciate you taking the time to explain each step!

  • What can I say? You're a legend Ross! Thanks.

  • I think I finally have got enough inspiration and motivation. A series of unfortunate events has left my newly purchased equipment untouched for 2 years....... thank you for taking the time to teach!

  • Wow! I just love ALL your videos. I'm new to glass making and am ready to purchase an upgrade from my hothead. Do you have any suggestions? I would really appreciate any suggestions you may have. Thank you! Jennifer M.

  • Ross thank you so much for teaching us, I am learning so much ! You are a real inspiration...

  • Ross, it's great to see the quality of your videos. Thank you so much for doing this for the lampworking community.

  • Excellent tutorial. I learned some different methods that might make all the difference in the world. Thanks for sharing & keep 'em coming! Can't wait to practice.

  • Great commentary, beautiful bead, nice work!!!!

  • Thanks! As a newbie to lampworking, I learned a lot from watching this 2-part video! Very inspiring!

  • Wow, I am a newbie and this is the first time I have seen this type of bead. Thanks so much for sharing. You have any tips on doing on mandrel inside/outside - implosion beads? I have tried them and haven't found the right glass mojo yet to get them the way I want them. Keep up the great work.

  • Thank-You for all your comments. Very Cool! I do not have the I/O mandrel implosion bead style down yet. I know how it is supposed to work but I can't actually do it yet. If you figure it out maybe you can show us.

  • Ross I love these videos as a beginner beadmaker these are great and very helpful and your beads are beautiful Thanks for sharing

  • do you do beadwork exclusively? or do you do solid sculptures and blown glass as well?

  • Another great Ross bead! Thanks for the wonderful 2 parter :)

  • EXCELLENT!!! Hey you should take requests!!

    Thank You so much!!!

  • What do you have in mind? It never hurts to ask.

  • How about encased petal beads?

    Thanks!!!

  • Ross, once again, you are the best! Thanks for sharing!

One thing I love about your videos is the Real quality-Like when you gently coax bring the bead "back" when it's wobbly or out of shape. Your calmness with the flame is so relaxing.

    Thanks!!!!

  • You are a gem on YouTube. Thanks for another great video!!
