basically, from what I've discerned from bbs, Ventus' heart basically gets "lost" and Sora allows his heart refuge when he was a little kid. I think that in some way, whenever sora became a heartless, and formed the nobody it looked like ventus because whenever a person becomes a nobody, a piece of them somewhat remains, (like memories, looks, weapon preference) and the strongest piece of Sora that was left to wander in the darkness was Roxas' portion of heart. Id explain better, but no room :(

i have read the OFFICIAL KH wiki kh3 is a story with only 7% or more progress and is scheduled to be the last in the 'xehanort' story line could there be as many khs and final fantasy all will be revealed...
@ultimatefang1 All of those people have various connections to Sora. He's almost a 'promised one' in the way he connects to so many people and, of course, the 'Prophecy' presented in the first game stating he will "Be the one to open the door to the light" that hasn't happened yet.

@ultimatefang1 Honestly, I'm not sure what will happen when Sora opens the DtL. I would just be guessing to say so. As far as what would happen to Keyblades, I really doubt they would disappear. We don't know yet where they come from, but we do know there are 3 kinds (Light, Dark, and Heart) and they seem to correspond to the Door to Light, the Door to Darkness, and Kingdom Hearts. For Roxas and Ven's connection you should see Ven's ending in Birth by Sleep.
Yes, Kairi did actually use a keyblade. I think they made a snafu by having Riku hand it to her. She should have had the ability to use a Keyblade, regardless. She met Aqua and is a Princess of Heart. I think Riku did 'beat' the darkness in him.

@ProfessionalNewb359 Problem is that they, like so many Japanese ddevs (but also some Western devs) released trailers far too early. You should never release a trailer 4 -- 6 years before you're ready to air.
I really want KH3. But I don't see it coming out until 2016 at the earliest. I mean, FF Versus XIII is still not ready for release, and its been how many years since it was announced? My guess is that that'll be a 2013 release. Then we'll have 2-4 years of development time for KH3. Sucks

*SPOILER* for all you people that dont understand what happened with the "2nd" part of last cutscene of KH2. What happened was that in RE:Coded, Mickey finds that Sora is connected to many people (i.e. Roxas/Axel/Xion Terra/Ven/Aqua). In the letter he is holding, one thing it says is that Sora is conected to those^ people. That is why. He says that he has to put back the things that are connected to him. There are more things in the letter but this scene connects KH2 w/ KH3DS (DDD)

@ultimatefang1 All of those people have various connections to Sora. He's almost a 'promised one' in the way he connects to so many people and, of course, the 'Prophecy' presented in the first game stating he will "Be the one to open the door to the light" that hasn't happened yet.

@LoneQuietus that would make since but if he does open the door to the light then wouldnt that mean he and everyone else will be truly disconnected n no longer able to see one and another? And would the keyblade return back to the light or that the children of light will be seen by sora Riku and Kairi? And there something else is Roxas and Ven the same people or is their some kind of secret to that? And can Kairi truly use a keyblade just like Riku and Sora. Did Riku beat the darkness in him?

@ultimatefang1 Honestly, I'm not sure what will happen when Sora opens the DtL. I would just be guessing to say so. As far as what would happen to Keyblades, I really doubt they would disappear. We don't know yet where they come from, but we do know there are 3 kinds (Light, Dark, and Heart) and they seem to correspond to the Door to Light, the Door to Darkness, and Kingdom Hearts. For Roxas and Ven's connection you should see Ven's ending in Birth by Sleep.

Yes, Kairi did actually use a keyblade. I think they made a snafu by having Riku hand it to her. She should have had the ability to use a Keyblade, regardless. She met Aqua and is a Princess of Heart. I think Riku did 'beat' the darkness in him.

I finished the first KH in 2004 in japanese,brought by a friend from japan.When I said i will play this game the friend said "This game is kinda hard".He don't know me very well in the time and thought that i wasn't familiar with rpgs.I play rpgs since 13 years old and in 2004 i was 19

Kingdom Hearts 3 WILL BE MADE as confirmed by officials of Square Enix. Once they have finished making the Final Fantasy XIII Versus then they will begin production on the Third Main Kingdom Hearts game as it will be linked to nearly all of the prior Kingdom Hearts games.

I doubt Kingdom Hearts will end in a bad way. Square Enix is known for it's popularity in EXCELLED storylines. There is no "What if" because they can't accept that and won't.

@ProfessionalNewb359 the new kingdom hearts game is called Dream Drop Distance. i stumbled on it while typing in kingdom hearts. it looks good and it leaves off of where kingdom hearts 2 ended. sora and riku have to go take the mark of mastery or something like tht. they CHANGED RIKU'S HAIR! its shorter now... well, im just lettin u know

@TheLittlebut I was talking about the CORE story game. Not the Dream Drop, but it will be a side story and next game and like you said will lead from KHII. If I'm right, I believe they're making a second Birth By Sleep. I'm not sure but I think it's a possibility.

@ProfessionalNewb359 Problem is that they, like so many Japanese ddevs (but also some Western devs) released trailers far too early. You should never release a trailer 4 -- 6 years before you're ready to air.
I really want KH3. But I don't see it coming out until 2016 at the earliest. I mean, FF Versus XIII is still not ready for release, and its been how many years since it was announced? My guess is that that'll be a 2013 release. Then we'll have 2-4 years of development time for KH3. Sucks

I started playing this game almost a decade ago and I loved it sooooo much! I've bought all the games and side games and kept up with the story. But it feels like I've been waiting for Kingdom Hearts 3 for years... Maybe it's time that I point out the pink elephant in the room and say maybe there will never be a Kingdom Hearts 3. no no no Ventus is Roxas when Ventus stoped the X-blade and Vanitas he destoryed part of his heart thus sending himself into a coma but then his heart found its way to sora. then when sora released his heart to save kairi he released ventus' heart to but Ven didnt remember a single thing thats why Terra/Xehanort asked him "do you Remember your true name"

i'm not sure but kingdom hearts might possibly the last,cause maybe the whole story together we were suppose to defeat all three Terra,Ventus and Aqua. In KH1 we beat Terra's body when it was being possessed. and in KH2 we beat Ventus's Nobody Roxas. Maybe in KH3 we need to beat Aqua for some reason,or Aqua will help us defeat an even greater threat :O

i think ventus looks like roxas because ventus his heart was inside sora so when sora became a heartless he had two nobody's because he lost 2 hearts so xion (his) and roxas (from ven).
i hope they'll make this game soon but we'll probably will have to wait forever if they are planning to finish versus 13 first (the game that was announced a year ago -_-)

*SPOILER* for all you people that dont understand what happened with the "2nd" part of last cutscene of KH2. What happened was that in RE:Coded, Mickey finds that Sora is connected to many people (i.e. Roxas/Axel/Xion Terra/Ven/Aqua). In the letter he is holding, one thing it says is that Sora is conected to those^ people. That is why. He says that he has to put back the things that are connected to him. There are more things in the letter but this scene connects KH2 w/ KH3DS (DDD)

@mulgure1 This scene is called "Reconnect". It acts as a prelude to the events of Kingdom Hearts 3D. So basically, this scene is showing off KH3D, not KH3. And "Reconnect" is not a Kingdom Hearts game. Also, KH3 has never been announced to be on the PS3.

@TwinKatanaGamer Too bad it won't, KH3 is going to be based on FF Versus XIII's engine.
In fact, at the beginning they only considered FF Versus XIII (practice stage) of KHIII,they're doing it with a battle system that's very similar to Kingdom Hearts's, which hints they may be also testing it out.
In other words, KH3's exclusivity depends on FF Versus XIII's.
