You're right, the chorus is awful. To the guy in this video, just try to play that chorus to the song. If you have any sense of musicality you will know it's wrong.

The verse picking isn't too bad, but the rest is crap. To think, naive kids will probably see this and the misleading video title and actually learn the song the way you play it.
