I lived both in Southern & Northern CA. No longer live in CA for 8 yrs. I traveled almost half of the USA. As well overseas: Europe, East Asia, Middle East, & Latin America. I want to see more. It's a really small world & life is short. Hope this will give you some thought? ;)

I wouldn't say I hate California but I sorely dislike it. Gun bans are for fools because it only disarms the people willing to follow the ban. The emissions restrictions don't bother me because I like clean air. The beaches are overcrowded though. Hollywood went down the toilet like 10 years ago. Immigration is a serious issue. Gay people don't bother me. I don't like the climate though. I like the seasons too much. I hate earthquakes, wild fires are scary as hell and so are producers.

If you like cold, there are tons of places in Australia that are cold. Try Tasmania, also South Australia and Victoria. Personally, Australia attracted me because of its warm and sunny climate. Honestly if I lived in Melbourne which is in Victoria, I would need anti depressants.

I lived in a suburb of Los Angeles for 11 years, I do not see myself going back to California to live permanently. I have been back a few times and can't help but feel that the Golden State is like a container of sweet milk that just went sour. Australia is like CA but maybe 30 years ago.

Well duh it doesn't allow you to own a bazooka; this is the assumption of a common liberal. Bazookas are listed as Destructive Devices, and not listed as a firearm. Kalasnikovs, however, are very much legal and I see no reason to ban them.
