thats an epic slasher collection andrew.i keep hearing good things about satans little helper so think il order that one soon.Going to peices is an excellent docu.if you like your 80s cheese you should check cheerleader camp(87) out if you aint seen it,likewise girls night out(83) has a killer in a bear siut!!!.happy new year pal.
@cropsy2008 .... Thanks alot mate. Cheerleader Camp is one I want to get and I'm pretty sure I have a 3 pack set on my wishlist with Girls Night Out in it. Happy New Year to you aswell.
I've been trying to find the DVD re-release of Candyman for a very long time. I know the original Umbrella release matched the cut US R-rated version but the recent release is the uncut international version. The Blu-Ray release however is more common in DVD outlets and I'm so jealous at the moment haha.
Popcorn is coming out on Code Red soon so hopefully they use the excellent theatrical cover. Satan's Little Helper was great fun! You definitely want to get the new edition of Don't Open Til Christmas on the Mondo Macabre label - great cover. Also the Arrow release of PIECES. I highly recommend you get the "Slash Hits" minibooks. There are 3 of them and they quickly go through every slasher from the 60's up, rating out of 5 for Blood and Boobs, haha. Available at midnight-media . net.
your missong chucky in your collection! My bloody V and Burning are two of my top slashers. i did a quick overview of my collection and realize i have alot of really low budget slashers but take a certain taste to appreciate. but id recomend 100 tears, murder set pieces, and gutterballs
@sterror83 ... I have Child's Play 1, 2 and 3 and was considering including them, but wasn't sure if they are really slashers, as Chucky is really just after Andy.
Please do a vid response of your collection. Nothing wrong with low budget, which is probably most of the other slashers I don't own anyway. So if you have some time, I'd love a vid response.
Awesome Slasher collection Andrew and you have awesome taste in slasher films!! I agree that April Fools Day, Terror Train, and Tourist Trap are underrated films. I love them!!
I recommend The Slumber Party Massacre, Christmas Evil, Pieces, Madman, Urban Legend, I Know What You Did Last Summer, and House of Wax (2005).
@Rhine1988 .... Hey Justin. Thanks for the comment, I was wondering when you would :-). Nah, I know your busy with college and work.
I have Urband Legend (forgot to include it and I forgot to include Scream too) and I just bought I Know What You Did Last Summer and I have House of Wax. Slumber Party, Christmas Evil, Pieces and Madman are one's I plan to get over time.
(Part 3) from 90's onward - I Know What You Did Last Summer 1&2 (forget 3), Urban Legend 1 to 3, The Tripper, Uncle Sam, Cut (Aussie slasher), Jeepers Creepers 1&2, Midnight Meat Train, Wrong Turn 1 to 4, The Cottage, The Dentist 1&2, Dr Giggles, Timber Falls, Turistas, Vacancy 1&2, American Psycho 1&2, The Collector, Hostel 1&2..... and I think thats it.
here are others I own (Part 2) - Girls Nite Out, Return To Horror High, Alice Sweet Alice, Silent Scream, Torso, Blood and Black Lace, Don't Answer The Phone, Don't Go In The Woods Alone, Axe, Blood Hook, Driller Killer, Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers, Nail Gun Massacre, Just Before Dawn, Demented Death Farm Massacre, Savage Weekend, American Gothic, Alone in the Dark, Maniac Cop 1 to 3, Sorority House Massacre 1&2, Slumber Party Massacre 1-3, Boogeyman, Crawlspace, Maniac, Cutting Class etc
here are others I own that I didn't see in your collection that you may wanna checkout (Part 1) - Aerobicide (aka Killer Workout), Drive In Massacre, Scream (1980), Evil Laugh, Nightmare, Body Count, Funeral Home, Slaughter Hotel, He Knows Your Alone, Madman, Memorial Valley Massacre, Hide and Go Shriek, Bad Dreams, Visiting Hours, Murder Rock, Stagefright, New York Ripper, Christmas Evil, Don't Open Till Christmas, Sweet Sixteen, Bloody Moon, Cheerleader Camp, Final Exam, Graduation Day, Pieces
@TheMidniteVapour ... Thanks mate. Yeah, I had a feeling that Toolbox Murders was shit , which is why I havn't watched it. I'll probably watch the remake first. Tourist Trap is a slasher, just got supernatural elements to it.
Nice collection Andrew! Freddy definitely won dude. WHAT???? TCM remake better than original???? Here are a few to check out- The Strangers (has slasher elements & slow beginning), Urban Legend (love it), where were the Scream movies? Slumber Party Massacre, Girls Nite Out (love it), The Mutilator, Edge of the Axe, Madman, Sweet Sixteen, The Funhouse
@410Goodfella .... Thanks Tim. Nah, Jason one. Freddy couldn't kill himself and he needed to ask Jason for help, so yeah. God damn it, I knew I'd leave movies out. I forgot to include the Scream franchise and The Funhouse...grrrrrrr and I think I have Urban Legends. I have The Strangers, but wasn't sure if its a slasher.
Slumber Party Massacre, Sweet Sixteen and Madman are on my wishlist. I like the sound of The Mutilator, but its out of print.
@ANDREWBALLINA If you have Urban Legend definitely watch it. It features Brad Dourif (voice of Chucky) Robert Englund (Freddy) and Danielle Harris (Halloweens). My 2nd favorite 90's slasher behind Scream. The Strangers is a slasher in my opinion. The Mutilator is out of print, I forgot. I have a bootleg of it. I can get a copy for you in March at the next convention if you want.
ever heard of The Prey?...it's a fairly good Backwoods Slasher flick, also look out for Madman..the actress from Dawn of the Dead 1978 is in it...I believe it's mentioned in Going to Pieces...a slasher flick that is very cheesy and cool, gotta check it out...Chopping Mall, you need that for your collection..I currently don't have either, vhs or dvd...also...Slumber Party Massacre..talk about babes, boobs and blood...classic
The Prey sounds cool, but unforenately its not on DVD :-(. Madman, Chopping Mall and Slumber Party Massacre are all one's I want to get, so thanks mate.
I have around 2,200 dvd and alot of slasher films so I will need to advise you on some good and cheesy slashers that you need to add to your collection but I am getting drunk now so I will talk to you later about them and giallo's.,
Oh Wow you have Candyman on Blu-Ray Ive been wanting that edition forever we don't have it in the states on Blu-Ray yet! Which sucks but what are you gonna do lol... but anyway Great slasher collection. I'll be posting my recommendations on video!
damn i saw the original bloody valentine in theaters, dude i was thinking about terror train and motel hell while watching this video and bam u already got em lol, u might wanna try viewing timber falls i liked it it was ok.( great collection top notch)
So glad you uploaded this Andrew! I've added a bunch more movies to my Amazon Wish List - thank you! I am very anxious to see that slasher movie documentary video - I did not even know it existed. Love your collection. Thank you for the great tips! :D

Awesome. I've favourites this vid so I can check back on it easily. The burning stands out for me. It's ina class of it's own. No sequels no remakes. One of a kind !!!!! Also , it was one of the 39 so it has a place in horror movie history. One I would recommend is mortuary starrrin a very young bill Paxton. It's another stand alone classic in my opinion. More on the subject later. Take care mate
@kulfie ... Awesome, thanks alot Gary. The Burning is perfect IMO and yes, its a special stand alone. I've heard good things about Mortuary, but unforenately its not on DVD :-(
