my goal is to get good by festival season next year (which is a little under a year from now) and to eventually get great at it (I really want to get awesome at this...I've never really gotten great at anything physical throughout my life and the few things that I tried to get good at I didn't really follow through...I am determined to make this different!). I don't really know any other hoopers and I kindof feel alone in this...could really use the support of fellow hoopers out there! Feel fre
I feel like I'm not getting enough practice in and I feel guilty about it...like I'm slacking off. However I do feel like I'm a relatively fast learner (I was having a lot of trouble with the lift but got it down after about 3 days of a small amount of practice and I was REALLY struggling with chest hooping but after about 1 day practicing a lot I'm starting to get it).
I'm a slightly frustrated beginner and I am determined to get really good at this. For those of you who have been making good progress (like sbibird), how often do you practice? I try to practice as much as possible but I am unemployed and broke so I spend most of my time job searching (not to mention the time that will be spent working once I actually get a job).
Hey, GREAT JOB! You sure got good in a short amount of time! I just got into hooping and am making my own hoops, too. Got everything at Lowe's. Where do you get your tape? I got colored electrical tape at Lowe's, but am wondering if you can also get it at a craft store like Michael's or AC Moore? Or do you have to go online for the really cool stuff?
I've only been hooping for 6 months. If you look at my other videos...my first video is on there..you can see my progress that I've made :) It doesn't take long, just lots and lots of practice!
ur good it took me almost a year to learn that i learned to hula hoop when i could walk good a couple months after that

exactly, I've been practicing hooping for about 8 months and I've done many things so far. But of course, perfection is up to time.

You are correct. I've been hooping for about 3 years now...practice and time are the only things that proves to make a difference.
