blame it on some of the primarchs being corrupted by chaos and going psycho, the sisters of battle don't have the bionic enhancements of the space marines because warhammer is sexist and only allos the gene-seed to work on men, so if all the space marines of now rose up in heresy, the universe really would be f*cked as they are the only thing really keeping it stable with any competance.
