I don't think he needs to. ROB wasn't designed to be a good toy. It was designed like a Trojan Horse. So the NES could be marketed as a toy instead of a video game. That way they could restart the Video game market. It worked very effectively in this regard and ROB is seen as the savior of video games in a way, while ET is seen as the Devil
