hi ms aerin? is there any ingredients that we can't buy here in the philippines...hope that all of the ingredietns that you are using is also available here...i really like your page....
@kwaiipanda26 oysters aren't shellfish though, they're mussels along with clams and well, mussels... I know because I'm allergic to shellfish - shrimp, crab, lobster, prawn =)
I have a question! where can i find some fresh oysters to make this? I only found frozen ones and I remember when I tried frozen ones they smelled fishy... I think frozen ones are not as good as those at restaurant..
If you find that the coating doesn't stick, the next time poach or steam the oysters first, then coat and fry. That's how we did it in the restaurant.
=o my gf will very much enjoy this. she is a extremely jealous person so I will have to take full credit of this delectable creation ^_^' joking. thank you from both of us. looks tasty!
thank you for the recipe!!! are you using fresh oysters or frozen oysters? I don't know where I can get fresh ones but I can find the frozen ones anywhere. thank you for answering :]

TinkerBell052 3 months ago
@TinkerBell052 Seafood section of the grocery store will have them either in the shell, or they sometimes carry freshly shucked oysters in jars.
MrJingjong 3 months ago
@MrJingjong or if you know the seafood person they might be able to shuck them for you for free

@Vincentsmom27 Yes. ....I give you permission.
snipeliger 3 months ago
@Vincentsmom27 yess i guess clam is better since it's closer to oysters (sorry to chime) i hope aeri answers your question :)
P.S i made it with clam and it was fine
Superbonnuit 3 months ago
@Vincentsmom27 I guess mussels would be fine. I don't think it's a wise idea to use clams. only cuz they toughen up easily.
Bora2135 3 months ago
@Vincentsmom27 lol - I don't think it'd be OYSTER jeon anymore :P
goshadowkenny 3 months ago
@Vincentsmom27 probably, but it wouldnt be called oyster jeon anymore ~ i dont think it matters tho
