For the people that don't know how this works:

He took a small bullet. stuck a piece of a toothpick in it

added a cap (a little piece of paper with something explosive-like on it. used in toy guns) to the bullets back. and made his gun somehow hit the cap hard. making it explode propelling the toothpick forward. This isn't rocket science you guys.
