ahh yeah well I prefer the meat where the food animal is killed as quickly as possible and suffers the least. Economics and profit seem to have put that principle aside including how the animals are raised and it really is a great lament and a hidden shame. But - I don't think I should stop eating meat. Man is an omnivore. Every vegetarian I met so far is skin and bones, it's unhealthy IMHO but their choice. Free range nicely killed meat is fine if you got the money to pay for it, I don't.

actually, if you look up videos, they treat the animals even more cruel. Cows, chickens, pigs, etc are bashed and killed. there's no such thing as "humane slaughter". they never had a "decent" life. The animals are couped up in little stalls, fed until their legs can't even support them, and as long as the farmers make money, thats all that matters. Yeah, that's SO not barbaric and very necessary. They usually dont cut off the heads until AFTER the animals have SUFFERED and died.
