@trilingualkid depends on the model, if you compare the sti, evo x, and 9-3x they would all likely perform very similarly. i believe the sti and evo would have better acceleration, but slightly less handling on the turns.

@SleepyMongoose i would think otherwise, if anything saab be better at acceleration as Subaru and Mitsubishi are at the top of their game as far as AWD and handling goes.

@trilingualkid Hard to say, I have driven a few WRXs and I own a Saab 9-3 Linear, I would say they are very comparable vehicles. Very similar response and acceleration. The WRX has the advantage of being AWD allowing it to put more power to the road in first and second. The older WRX (around 03-07) had a huge turbo lag, so the Saab will keep up until around 75-80mph, then the WRX will pull ahead.

@SleepyMongoose Back to your original question though, it's sad to say but I would put my money on either the evo or wrx/sti in acceleration, handling is questionable, all 3 cars have insanely good handling in snow.

My favourite brand car is Audi and still it is but now when i see this 9-3x i think that i will buy rather 9-3x 2.8 then A4 3.2 fsi because its look at least equal like A4 and has a 280 hp(3.2fsi-260hp),a great 4WD and one of the best preferences its his uniqueness

well that's good to hear - because i drive a 2004 9-3 1.8T and the stereo (or music system ) is rubbish!!!

Yeah, I meant some did. The 1.8T does have a really bad sound system, but the newer top of the line models feature an 11speaker BOSE system and the 9-5 has always featured Harman/Kardon as the premium. My ARC has Harman/Kardon (9 speakers) and it is amazing. But yes, the older 9-3 systems are rubbish, no offence.

i own a 2.0t 9 3 2004 saab and it has 170thou k and still runs like when it was new can't go wrong with this car and i love the shifting and u can't feel the turbo lag, my next purchase i hope is a new fully loaded 9 3 AERO
