Correct, it's a CAT 966G with a home made 12 yard bucket. We have a bigger 15 yard bucket for the same loader. The thing is a friggin beast. Best loaders ever made. In my opinion anyway.
thought it was a cat. looks like it can handle some corn!! agree with u there it is a damn good loader, not very popular over here tho unless on opencast mining, jcb,s mainly used for buckraking or smaller machines like sideboom telehandlers
We own this one and we lease another one. usually a 966G. Our loader feeds the mill while the lease loader bucks up the corn after it's dumped. When its slow we use our loader for bucking to keep the hours low on the rental.
With CAT you can rent by the hour if you plan to use it 2-3 days. Otherwise it goes by the week or month. For 30 days a CAT 966H goes for $10,000 and you are limited to 160 hours during that time. If you go more than 3hours over you pay extra for each hour. If you return it dirty they charge you an extra $350.00, but for us, we usually pay by the month.
I'm trying to get some more video on here but I have to convert the files to make them work with windows moviemaker. When I get that done I'll add more.
not griding it?

nope. we put it into a pile before rolling it so that we have a stockpile to roll while the other loaders buck it up into a pile.

Close, this is Cargill feeders, used to be Caprock feeders. Both are on 54 West, but XIT is further out of town than caprock.

makes sense, how does the rental work over there, by the week or the running hours of the machine?
