Im a music education sudent in another big 12 school and in marching band, I used to think A&M's marching band wasnt all that great. I was wrong! I've never seen a traditional marching show even come close to this. If you think this is easy, its not!
Oh man, this is beautiful. We sawed off the horns, took Bevo around the back, shot him, cut him up, cleaned him, and a few of us had steaks, burgers, and ribs for dinner last night. But it pretty gross so we went and bought some real steak and burgers.

Dang they suck. UT has a better fight song then A&M does. Man I remember in 05 Texas would practically blow out every team when they went undefeated, and I always heard that fight song over and over again. Boy I love it.
They set the "songs" (they're actually marches) to different marching routines every game. The drills become more complex every performance. The band has their own battery of regular musical selections, but they'll occasionally insert a different march for a particular routine. Mainly, though, they stick to being the best military-style band in the world.
oh dear God...all yall do is marches?! i play the sax so i probably would have been playing up beat eighth notes the ENTIRE time...i would have gone insane, glad i went to tech...i love the goin band...we get to be really chill and laid back...we're not the 'best' in the world at anything, but we're definitely one of the biggest...thats gotta count for something right?
oh dear Lord, "tortilla tech"! Y'all's band is bigger, but it sure as heck doesn't count towards being better. Literally thousands of students would love to be members of the Aggie Band, but you also have to be a member of the Corps first (and as a second year corps member, let me tell you that it's no easy proposition). In spite of that, over 330 members survive the rigors of the Corps to become members of the nationally famous Fightin' Texas Aggie Band.

umm...yea dont be so sure of that...thousands? im gonna say youre making that up because i know alot of people that didn't do band at a&m BECAUSE of the corps, and i know even more people who went to other schools (myself included) because they wanted to be in band and didn't want to have deal with the corps

and i never said anything about the Goin Band being better than you guys, where the heck did you get that? you really cant compare us, we're two totally different bands...you guys are good at what you do, and we're good at what we do...it all depends on what you like ok...no ones 'better' than anyone
By thousands I mean high schoolers across the State would love to be in the band, but BECAUSE of the Corps, most either go to other schools or don't stay in the band. I hear what you're saying about not wanting to "deal" with the Corps, and I totally agree with you. As far as being the best, you can't compare the goin band and our band because they're two different styles, and I only compare our band to other military bands. No disrespect intended.
I WAS HERE.
WHOOP!!!!
Everytime I hear someone say Ohio State's "script o-h-i-o" is the greatest tradition in college football, i say

This is a great school song. I guess some people don't like it, because it doesn't sound like "I've been working on the railroad."

The music changes from halftime to halftime, but it always starts with the War Hymn and usually ends with the War Hymn
