Fat mans make 1600 damage. And you said it has 100.000 health, 10mms makes only 9 damage. You probably used console or something alike to oversize a super mutant. Or that giant mutant is taking those bullets like a girl. Either way it doesn't have 100.000 health.

Actually, Fallout 3 is the standalone game in the series. It has nothing to do with any of the other Fallout games (It's set on the other side of the country), whereas New Vegas is a direct sequel to Fallout 2.
