It's totally unheard of for a 72 to 76 year old man to die from natural and sudden causes, I mean someone 47-51 could, but is statistically less likely to. Now I am not saying either will die, but it's a reality one must face - It's not the good ole days when the two most popular candidates get president and VP depending on who wins and loses. We - read The Electoral College - elect both.
Obama's experience? yeah, he was in the Senate for 143 days before he announced his presidential candidacy. The democratic ticket is upside-down and everyone knows it.
Why is it that most all Republicans never answer the question that they are being asked.....come on politicians, answer the questions you're being asked. Is it really that hard to give a legitimate and honest answers so that we don't keep wondering really what you're intentions are......really, it's time that the American people as a whole stop allowing the vial to be pulled over our faces and allow such dishonesty and false intentions.
Obama has foreign policy experience albeit limited. Which is more than Palin. Overall he has much more experience than Palin. Wasilla Alaska is currently $20 million in long term debt because of her. That, my friend, fact. She ironically cut funding for a program in Alaska that aides teen mothers. That, too, is fact. She trumpeted her support for the bridge to nowhere on the '06 campaign trail. Again, FACT. These are all qualities that Reps. would instantly attack their opponent for. Hypocrisy.
That's all wonderful but McCain is the one running for president. Have you researched Obama and his cohorts? Did you know they were resposible for the FM bank meltdown? please vote, because we need change in this country and if we feel that we can't do anything or help the way things are (which they suck for lower income people/families) get better, we need to vote as a whole. Please don't allow yourself to fall through the cracks in the voting process. We as a whole can change something really big. If Martin Luther King Jr. can do it we as a whole (the American People) can help make it better. We shouldn't be so afraid of our Government. take it back!
She didn't answer the question. She can't site any foreign policy experience because she has none. But she can see Russia from her house!
And while we're at it, let's talk about McCain's foreign policy experience? He supported the invasion of Iraq. He conflates Iran and Al Qaeda. He jokes about "bomb-bomb-bomb"ing Iran. All this is "foreign policy experience" we could do without.
McCain lacks the demeanor, intelligence and skill necessary to serve as president. Even less so Palin!
Palin has no foreign experience, but she didn't need a teleprompter to answer as Obama does these days. She is a quick study. She didn't rise to the governor's level in the state of Alaska populated by a majority of MEN for no reason. She will learn and she will be the next VP.
1) it alludes to the myth that Palin's teleprompter failed at ther RNC. It didn't. This is well-documented.
2) Obama has been answering complex questions in specific terms, improvisationally, for years.
3) positions of enormous experitise, like being president of the senate or 2nd in command of the USA are not "I'll study hard for three months and get better" jobs.
4) candidates who reflect the will of the people by acting "ordinary" fail America
The answer to the question is that she has no foreign experience. Is she going to be president? Not likely... but there is a chance. Can she gain experience as VP? Sure and I have not a doubt that she will. Would it worry me, not one bit. McCain has the experience that she doesn't have. Tell me what makes OBAMA experienced? He has never run ANYTHING.
What makes Obama experienced? A Harvard Law Degree. Ten years as a professor of constitutional law. Chairman of Heatlh and Human Services industry in Illinois Senate. Bottom line: A keen intellect and global perspective that qualifies him to make decisions on complex international and national policy and gives him the ability to think, not to just look pretty, on his feet!

Sorry, one more. What's great is that for almost 30 years the people in power (the richest 1/10th of 1%) have been getting into office by lying to the people who vote for them. They use their ignorance and racism to get them to vote for people whose only goal is to steal from the people who voted for them. What's great is if the ignorant masses who put them in office finally revolt against them! I love it. The GOP has so much disdain for their voters it has finally backfired.
Wow, just wow. Ok, so they couldn't even feed her a canned answer to the same question that has been floating around for weeks? Either they think that no one is paying attention, or this whole election is just a farce and we have something even worse coming down the pipeline.
You know what they can criticize? Pretty much everything you do or say. Christ...old man McCain's got 1 and 1/2 feet in the grave and Republicans want "THAT" running the country?
Well, you know, you can see Russia from Alaska! And she finally got a passport two years ago! Obama is inexperienced too, but throughout his life he's been exposed to a variety of different cultures, from his upbringing in Hawaii and Indonesia, his trips to Africa and Europe, heck, even going to school in California and Boston. Palin's barely been out of Idaho and Alaska, two bastions of diversity. She couldn't deal with Hawaii, probably because it was too "foreign and exotic." What a joke.
I love this lady.Sarah "Thatcher"Palin is gonna be a power house on the world stage for many years. The Dems are afraid of her because she is a threat to their power grab. This Outstanding woman deserves our vote and respect.Thank you John McCain for giving us Sarah.
Wow. The question could not have been any clearer. Even one specific example would have been a start. She had NOTHING to point to. Pathetic! I am so glad that people are starting to see her for the hollow person that she is.
Wow. Has Palin given one direct, honest answer this entire election? She is vacant, mind numbingly unprepared, and definitely not ready to lead our country. Sorry, but she just seems dumb, and our country deserves better, we need better.
McCain-Palin would continue to drive this country into ruin (Bush has done his best to ruin us)...
Once again, she did not answer the question because she can't - she does not know any answers!!!!! And many people will vote for her and Mc Cain-because there are too many racists in America who can't see the forest for the trees! They are just plain dumb - just like her! Vote for Obama/Biden to save us from these two liars and bring dignity and integrit back to the White House.
Really...here in Italy we thought that Berlusconi was the worst product of show-biz society, but these two are even further...let alone mr Bush.
Please, you, down in the USA, check your pockets not allowing the gangs at Capitol Hil and WS to socialize their losses, this is gonna being the biggest robbery in human history.
Take care of rex84 (check a search engine), robbers have been preparing since years for a big internal turmoil, another sign that this crisis has not happened by chance.
She's ready, people! She already told Charlie Gibson that she doesn't blink--what else do you want?! Everybody knows experience doesn't matter--George W Bush didn't have ANY foreign policy experience and was equally incurious about policy questions, and, come on, he's like the greatest president ever!
Palin's answer reminds me of Miss Teen Carolina. "I personally believe that US Americans are unable to so because... like everywhere such as... ehmm".
That question did stump the candidate. Even coming from a probably sympathetic republican (as the audience was invitation only.) She sounds like me when I am interviewing for a job that I am probably underqualified for, I know it but I still want the job, figuring it can't be THAT out of my league. I'm confident! That makes me qualified!
dmathew1024, I can't agree with you more. Obama should be blowing these two clowns out of the water. Just goes to show we are not as progressive a country as we try to convince ourselves we are...sad to say, still alot of racists out there!
The sad thing is ... Sarah Palin is a pretty accurate representation of the citizens of the United States of America: Ignorant, incurious, isolationist and fundamentalist.
From a european perspective where people are watching in horror and disbelief: if "this" gets to be VP or President.. the whole world will laugh about the US.
From an actual 100% genuine European, couldn't agree with you more. If THIS comes to talk shop across the pond... we'll have ourselves a right old laugh.
Fact: Palin flunked out of 2 colleges; went to 4 and earned a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Journalism.
Fact: Her daughter is having a baby out of wedlock.
Fact: GOP = a Movement = An Entity = All Christians should revisit what the Bible says about the coming of the Anti-Christ. It's NOT a person...it's an entity...it's a movement...WAKE UP. There is NOTHING CONSERVATIVE about Palin.
Republicans strive for being a picture perfect representation of people who practice CONSERVATIVE ETHICS with respect to FAMILY VALUES, LIFESTYLES and POLITICS. The GOP stands for "Grand Ole Party" which is a synonym for Republicans. In essence, the GOP is too busy partying than keeping up with their label of "Being Conservative" (Christians) and they are taking America for a ride to its demise. Read what the Bible says about events of the Anti-Christ. it's not 1 person but many, i.e. GOP
Well, yes, all that is certainly true, but all that has always been true of Republicans. There is hardly anything DIFFERENT about Palin because she has no family values--that's what defines Republicans: they don't care about others, abortion rates go up during their tenures, the don't support family values, they don't support children. On and on.
I'm taking from your post that you probably have voted GOP in the past--but why? If these are the things you care about, GOP has never been that.
I must say, though, that if what you say here represents what is being said now from the pulpits of the Rovian small fundamentalist churches that have put republicans in office for the last 8 years, this is the most fantastically wonderful thing I've ever heard. If the fundamentalist Christians finally realize that democrats are the true family values party, it will be so completely over for the GOP, the party might literally close up shop.
Greg - Hola. No I never voted for a Republican. If you can take a spoon and balance it on your finger for 2 minutes straight you just found out what the key in life is which means stay in between the extremes - I believe Zoraster said this back in the day. Republicans can't hide any more. They are mixing religion with government. They are expoliting their powers. They are being revealed for who they really are - imbalanced and non-righteous people..."THANKS BUT NO THANKS".
ya its true, that answer was horrific! What were they clapping at? I mean, it's not so much she doesn't know, it's the fact she doesn't know any foreign issues but will pretend to America and the voters that she does when her opinion clearly comes from teleprompters and McCain's advisers.
well, trufully, i've heard dumb answers like this from Obama as well. And he's on top of the ticket... with less experience than she has..He should have picked Hillary. Big mistake!
Less experience than she has, Where did you learn math? 8 years as a st. sen. and 4 as a fed. sen. = 12 years. 6 years as mayor and 2 as governor equals 8.
Bush had experience executive exp.
Picking Hildog would have made victory easier, but Obama wasn't concerned with easy victory he was chose a vp to help his presidency.
Unlike McCain who picked a complete moron. When she was mayor she built that sports complex on land the city didn't even have title to.
I have never heard incoherent rambling like this in an election that said nothing. I am ready, we will be ready over and over?!?? What the hell happens if she has to become president? Scary!
Applepie1e explained why Obama has more experience. (Nevermind one of the insanely many hypocrisies of the republicans, that until picking Sarah the GOP criticized Obama for his lack of experience--if you believe that you can't possibly vote for McCain now.)
But the point isn't her experience, the point is she's a MORON.
I would pay to see a debate between Sarah Palin and Ms. Teen South Carolina. Search for Ms. Teen South Carolina to see a strikingly similar answer to a very simple question.
how much more well-versed of a question could you have that DIDN'T GET ANSWERED AT ALL?? And Palin even said, "and if you wants specifics..." (which was requested in the question), she STILL didn't give any!
She did not answer any question in totality....what the fuck...please people lets vote for obama/biden...lets not let race stop us from getting what we need out of our government. they work for us...
The question was give specifics. This woman is pretty empty on knowledge, truthfully speaking!
She gives answers just like Miss South Caroline. No sense or relevance to the question. Whoever thinks this woman is intelligent, has a viral problem in their brains.
I'm prepared... I AM I AM I AM!!! I am confidence that i will be confidentaly confident. Huhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... someone tell me this is not really happening. Are republicans really this stupid. Are they blindly buying this BITCH's crap. Sad.
Didn't the woman ask for specifics? Didn't Palin say you can ask her about specifics? Well, where's the answer, Sarah? This circus is getting really old, REALLY FAST!!!!
Deregulation of the mortgage industry was a mantra for Bush / McCain/ Phil Gramm economics FOR YEARS!
Ironic that it has resulted in a financial train wreck and
NATIONALIZATION!!! of mortgage banking !
Folks please check your 401's and IRA's... Republican economics (even with todays bounce) lost 10% of your savings in the last 90 days. "deregulated traders will walk away rich..stock holders get shafted...tax payers pay for the clean up.
Sarah Palin made her son's unit the highest value target in Iraq by parading him in front of the media just before he deployed for Iraq. The Republicans don't care about the safety of the troops...they only care about getting elected. This is a crime of espionage. The Presidency and Vice Presidency are not "playtime for Bonzo." Palin is a wonderful woman, but this is neither the job nor the time for someone whose knowledge of the world is less than an inch deep. VETERANS FOR OBAMA!!!
Look at McCain's face as she wraps up her "answer". He looks half-sad, half-horrified. She couldn't even answer a simple, direct question ... This is embarrassing. Look for this everywhere tonight.
I am ashamed that she was a nominee for the second highest office in the land.

WOW!!! Unbelievable!! But she is "just like you and me" so I think foreign leaders will understand that and be nice to us.

Wait.... did she answer the question?

She got the idea of "Stump the Candidate" because they DID STUMPT THE CANDIDATE!!!
BethElaineSmith 3 years ago 2

"Stump the candidate"? It looks like she really WAS stumped... did she actually answer the question or just dance around it?

Completely incoherent
thisfiiire 3 years ago
That question did stump the candidate. Even coming from a probably sympathetic republican (as the audience was invitation only.) She sounds like me when I am interviewing for a job that I am probably underqualified for, I know it but I still want the job, figuring it can't be THAT out of my league. I'm confident! That makes me qualified!

Sarah is great! Way to give a non-answer answer! Have we really come to this?
cchristian 3 years ago 3
dmathew1024, I can't agree with you more. Obama should be blowing these two clowns out of the water. Just goes to show we are not as progressive a country as we try to convince ourselves we are...sad to say, still alot of racists out there!
mrgitaki 3 years ago 3
Does that sound familiar?:
2000: Al Gore should be blowing Bush out of the water.
2004: John Kerry should be blowing Bush out of the water.
2008: Obama should be blowing McPalin out of the water.
We are a nation of intensely stupid people. Beijing Olympics . . . Large Hadron Collider . . . Sarah Palin.
greg5566 3 years ago 3
The sad thing is ... Sarah Palin is a pretty accurate representation of the citizens of the United States of America: Ignorant, incurious, isolationist and fundamentalist.
God help us all!

Fact: Palin was pregnant before she was married.
Her I.Q. is pathetic.
WarAgainstRacism 3 years ago 2
"nothing conservative about Palin"? What does that mean?
greg5566 3 years ago
Republicans strive for being a picture perfect representation of people who practice CONSERVATIVE ETHICS with respect to FAMILY VALUES, LIFESTYLES and POLITICS. The GOP stands for "Grand Ole Party" which is a synonym for Republicans. In essence, the GOP is too busy partying than keeping up with their label of "Being Conservative" (Christians) and they are taking America for a ride to its demise. Read what the Bible says about events of the Anti-Christ. it's not 1 person but many, i.e. GOP
WarAgainstRacism 3 years ago
Well, yes, all that is certainly true, but all that has always been true of Republicans. There is hardly anything DIFFERENT about Palin because she has no family values--that's what defines Republicans: they don't care about others, abortion rates go up during their tenures, the don't support family values, they don't support children. On and on.
I'm taking from your post that you probably have voted GOP in the past--but why? If these are the things you care about, GOP has never been that.
greg5566 3 years ago
I must say, though, that if what you say here represents what is being said now from the pulpits of the Rovian small fundamentalist churches that have put republicans in office for the last 8 years, this is the most fantastically wonderful thing I've ever heard. If the fundamentalist Christians finally realize that democrats are the true family values party, it will be so completely over for the GOP, the party might literally close up shop.
greg5566 3 years ago
Greg - Hola. No I never voted for a Republican. If you can take a spoon and balance it on your finger for 2 minutes straight you just found out what the key in life is which means stay in between the extremes - I believe Zoraster said this back in the day. Republicans can't hide any more. They are mixing religion with government. They are expoliting their powers. They are being revealed for who they really are - imbalanced and non-righteous people..."THANKS BUT NO THANKS".
WarAgainstRacism 3 years ago 2
absolutely pathetic answer.

applepie1e 3 years ago 2
ya its true, that answer was horrific! What were they clapping at? I mean, it's not so much she doesn't know, it's the fact she doesn't know any foreign issues but will pretend to America and the voters that she does when her opinion clearly comes from teleprompters and McCain's advisers.
Only4luv 3 years ago 6
Wait, a politician didn't give a straight answer??
Heymann230 3 years ago
well, trufully, i've heard dumb answers like this from Obama as well. And he's on top of the ticket... with less experience than she has..He should have picked Hillary. Big mistake!
ohblade2001 3 years ago
Care to point out any examples?
Less experience than she has, Where did you learn math? 8 years as a st. sen. and 4 as a fed. sen. = 12 years. 6 years as mayor and 2 as governor equals 8.
Bush had experience executive exp.
Picking Hildog would have made victory easier, but Obama wasn't concerned with easy victory he was chose a vp to help his presidency.
Unlike McCain who picked a complete moron. When she was mayor she built that sports complex on land the city didn't even have title to.
applepie1e 3 years ago
I have never heard incoherent rambling like this in an election that said nothing. I am ready, we will be ready over and over?!?? What the hell happens if she has to become president? Scary!
Only4luv 3 years ago 3
Trufully? Perhaps you meant truthfully, yeah thats it.....
idrool2 3 years ago
Applepie1e explained why Obama has more experience. (Nevermind one of the insanely many hypocrisies of the republicans, that until picking Sarah the GOP criticized Obama for his lack of experience--if you believe that you can't possibly vote for McCain now.)
But the point isn't her experience, the point is she's a MORON.
