  • Women NEVER take care of their cars!

  • its a celica...thats gotta be the problem

  • non Interference cause u would have heard something clanking around when u cranked it over if it was an Interference

  • @smokey756 Not True. Just because it's interference, doesn't mean you'll hear something clanking around.

  • ol' girl, pig, white piece of junk, sucker, little thing......interesting, not once do you refer to working on a car....this could have been my ex-wife! does this mean you can fix my ex? that would truly be a miracle! LMAO

  • Sounds like there's no compression. A new motor (or car) would resolve the problem.

  • when i saw the title i thought it was a joke!

  • I agree the timing belt, I can here it!

  • that looks like a New York Inspection sticker thats in the lower left hand corner of the 450s windshield

  • @metalmaniac622 Thats actually a DOT sticker

  • @bah53 actually it is a toyota celcia gt! :)

  • What is it with women and not checking fluids FFS?

My wifes car had the low oil light on and was 2 quarts low, so I asked her about it. Know what she said? "I let you take tare of that stuff". What if I hadn't driven her car for another 6 months?

  • @crispyspa I've noticed that alot of women don't take care of their cars, I guess thats why I always have cars to fix on the weekends lol

  • @crispyspa lol the only women i know of that take care of thier cars are my mom and my aunts

  • come on bah53 you know from dave and op gear tha you cant kill a toyota!!

  • I know that sound all to well, its lost the timing belt. The only other time ive heard an engine crank like that was when the engine blew its head gasket completely spewing oil and coolant everywhere....

  • These kind of diagnostic problems are the most interesting. Are you gonna film the belt replacement?

  • @spelunkerd I'm not sure yet. I don't know if he's gonna work on it here or not.

  • It's a Toyota so you can't expect much more from it...lol

  • Yup.... the Timing Belt has gone or slipped by the sound of that.

Shame it's not British, I could look up the engine code and tell you if it's an interference engine or not. If it's non-interference, all it'll need is a new belt and off it goes.

  • yup, that's a timing belt based on that cranking sound. i thought those ran timing chains, could be wrong though.

  • NO, NO. They aren't interference. That's the same 2.2L used in the Camry. Just put a belt and a tensioner on it and go.

  • @WhoSaidTyler And don't forget the oil.

  • @AReptileMan ....and don't forget the coolant.

Can't remember when i've seen a Celica like that for the last time, here in the Netherlands.

    Nice cars, though.

  • @WhoSaidTyler Yup, non interference and it's a belt.

  • @WhoSaidTyler Larry will be happy to hear that.

  • @WhoSaidTyler the 2.2 used in the camrys are interferance engines... my brother had a 2001 and the tbelt broke at 130k screwed the engine over

  • @chevyblows2001 i have a 97 camry same as 01 camry its non interferance it was probley a fluke there is plenty of clearence betweenthe valves and cylinders
