really good video, good editing and good info/facts, can wait to see the system up and running. If it isnt too late you should do how-to videos going over the pc build, 5/5
Thanks for your comments man. I have been debating whether or not I should make videos of me putting the actual PC together or just one video once I am done putting it all together. Also, I thought about even making like a time lapsed video that is sped up to show me working on the computer.
go for it! but by the way... did you think the mirror finish on the contact plate of the heat sink was, although awesome, a little bit pointless? it just seemed odd that they'd put that much effort into something you dont see. correct me if im wrong
The Mirror finish is ideal. When a cooler has a mirror finish it gets rid of all the microscopic pores that can trap air bubbles between the cooler and the CPU. Ideally you would want your CPU heatspreader to be "lapped" or sanded to a mirror finish as well as the CPU cooler to maximize heat dissipation.
@lordnanunanu: It's one of those "every little bit helps" things. If you think about it, maybe M$ should make their Xbox 360 heatsinks a polished surface so they won't overheat as bad lolz. It may not solve it, but every little bit helps.
Does anyone know if this HS will fit in a Cool Master Storm Sniper case?

would this fan be good with an AMD Phenom II X6 1055T?

I think that this is a bad CPU cooler choice as, for example, Scythe Mugen 2 and Noctua NH-D14 are both better than this.

this one was a pain in the ass to install cous i cut my self on it all over my hands but its a good cooler.

when CPU's have mirror finishes I will be so happy that I dont have to get compound all over my fingers..

I don't know if that will ever happen...

You're wrong ;)
Witha mirror finish the CPU heatspreader and the heatsink will make better contact, improving the cooling.

Exactly.

well not ALL the pores, but it definitely decreases them, and increases total surface area that is in contact with the CPU
wrath6647 2 years ago
I think it's appropriate to have the mirror finish. It guarantees a smooth contact from the bottom of the heatsink base.

If I can find the "lost footage" I will post the final video. I have no idea what I did with the footage I took of the PC Build.
