My wife and I had a wonderful, resplendent time here in November 2011. The sea was blue, the sand was white and the weather was superb, then some greasy dago bastard nicked her purse and fucked it all up.
@simonpcroot Hi. Yes, it's not something I take too seriously. I only have a small, very basic pocket camcorder and just fire away at anything that interests me. I do hardly any editing either, just put all of the clips I like together and add some music. Thanks for your comments though, perhaps it'll make me take a bit more care in future.
I'm going to Los Cristianos in March...First time going there. Never been to Tenerife before. Is it still quite a busy place this time of year, and do you know what the weather is like that time of year?...Can't wait to go...
wow , what a difference , im from the north part of tenerife (santa cruz-laguna) and there is a very different way of livin , in the south is super relaxant and the norh is a super stressant life style , not reccomendable hahaha
I love Tenerife but I prefer mixing with the locals and visiting non-tourist areas than spending my time in British pubs/restaurants. I can have those at home.
What I like about Los Cristianos is that because it is a real Canarian town, you can do both. There are plenty of Canarian owned bars and restaurants where the locals hang out, you don't have to use the British establishments. Los Cristianos was a real town before the advent of tourism, unlike Playa de las Americas, which was originally bare coastline and is a totally purpose built resort. .
Great views of Los Christianos .. I have a place there too. Just a tip .. steady the shooting and pan slightly more slowly .. made me feel a little sick at times. We all had to learn though ...
Thanks, I'll give it go! To be honest, I'm not really all that serious about it, I just bought a pocket camcorder (Kodak ZI6) and have been trying it out, I call them moving snapshots. I've just made one around PDLA and to be honest, it made me a bit seasick too! LOL!
That's a difficult question to answer. It depends on what you are used to. The water temperature in Tenerife is always 19c to 24c, depending on the season. It does feel a little chilly when you first get in, particularly in the winter but once you've got used to it, it's fine. If you've been sitting in the sun, you will obviously notice the difference more as you enter the water, but it's not really cold like it is when you get in the sea in England.

I like the music it fits, but your camera moves about to much in the filming and jumpy edits ( just a constructive crit)not a bad effort thought

I totally agree. I've stayed in Los Christianos and its way better than Playa de las Americas. The latter reminds me of Blackpool, lol!
