I have family members in cuba who's roofs have collapsed and have no materials to fix it because resources are scarce. Most of the homes are becoming structurely dangerous to live in. The houses are crumbling and they cannot do anything about it. All eight of my family members sleep in one room because that is where the roof hasn't fallen. Old cars need money to maintain. Money they dont have. Not every1 has car.

I just want to say, how happy I am that a video like this is posted on Youtube. It really sheds light of the REAL Cuba. The Cuba that Hollywood and liberal college students refuse to see. My mom was a biochemistry professor in one of Cuba's universities for almost 30 years, & also worked at several hospitals throughout her career so you don't need to say anything else about the country's health care system. @bapyou Its not materiality that is the problem but rather safety and well being. I have family members in cuba who's roofs have collapsed and have no materials to fix it because resources are scarce. Most of the homes are becoming structurely dangerous to live in. The houses are crumbling and they cannot do anything about it. All eight of my family members sleep in one room because that is where the roof hasn't fallen. Old cars need money to maintain. Money they dont have. Not every1 has car.

Why go back...why could not Cuba move forward...I mean.. it is proven (inside and outside the Island) that its people are progressive and successful. Besides the embargo and communism...we can blame 13 years or war in Angola, in Ethiopia, in Congo, the constant support of guerrilla warfare in South America, including over a decade in El Salvador, Nicaragua, etc that takes a lot of resources instead of investing in an economic infrastructure and your own people.

Free access to guns has caused problems like any other freedom does. However, is the reason people like Castro will never take the U. S. over. It is the reason that it wasnt invaded during WWII. It is a guarantee in the constitution. Communist countries dont allow guns and thats the reason there are no elections, only dictatorships with appointments. If you get a chicken that you find in the streets, and you eat it...that's "treason to the revolution" and you go to jail for 12 years. You're a thief, because nothing belongs to anybody. But it also asked Havana to release political prisoners and grant freedom of expression and information to its citizens, and said it would continue supporting dissidents and government critics.
The EU will evaluate Cuba's progress in a year's time.

You must be aware that U.S. univesities dominate ALL surveys that aatempt to rank higher education insitutes. There are problems with education and health in the U.S. However, you seem to favour health and education 'security' over social, economic and political freedoms. The U.S. is not representative of all capitalist countries, look at Scandinavia to see how social welfare and freedom can co-exist.

Ive been to both Cuba and China. I have to say that they both need government reform and more human rights.
With that said, Cuba is nowhere near the threat that China poses to the USA.
Why can the USA do business with other communist countries, and not bring Capitalism to the people of Cuba? Thats the question Americans need to ask themselves.
And never forget that China has nuclear missiles aimed at the USA as I type this.

I tell you what elsoda, don't worry about going to Cuba just come to Florida. Talk to the expats and see what they think of Castro and his reforms. Talk to a friend of mine who was a police officer in Havana who despises everything about Castro or a baseball player I knew years ago in high school whos father was taken in the middle of the night and beaten with no cause or explanation.
