I am 51yrs & I just discovered this band via my local college radio station.I have heard alot of diff bands over the years but these guys are truly talented and exceptional.I thought all was lost until i started listening to these guys.I'm really impressed.Jim James is amazing. He is pure.Thx for the post.
From a yorkshire town in the UK and to not only come across this band, but to follow then for years(2004-2011+) i am the ultimate fan! i know realistically i will never get to see em live! doubt they will ever tour the UK and i aint got the doe to see em in the the US, so all i can do is follow them in the virtual world of youtube, purchase ever album the release and spread the MMJ word where ever i can. I am the Annie Wilkes of MMJ! "I'm your number 1 fan!"
This song is like sex, no literally think about it... the whole time it's building, pulsating then finally it gets really good, like really really fucking good and then just as it's as good as it could possibly be it ends
@roblockesince1980 That's not theramin; it's Bo on keys and Carl on pedal steel. They're playing the same "melody" (it's really just the root note of each chord, the same thing Jim plays on guitar in the last verse). I think the vibrato effect is Carl's slide, but combined with the keys it sounds like theramin. My favorite part of this amazing performance is the beefed up drum chops.
"This is just unfucking believable" Ive not been moved by music like this since "grunge era of the early nineties'. I think everyone should experience this magical performance.
@SuperWells34 You hit the head of the nail on that one man. I have been telling people that too. haha at least there are still some talented musicians every now and then.
i love the bear with the cape.

Just sounds a bit too close to the meody of "Never Say Goodbye" by Bon Jovi. Fair try though I guess.

@moco635 Me too, I am 58 and I was introduced to "mmj" through my youngest son (age 24).
I thought there would never ever be another great band like they were in the late 70's early 80's,
but I am gladly surprised with this one. Jim James has such an intoxicatingly awesome voice!

I kick myself every day for not having discovered this band sooner than I did. Brilliant music all the way through every single record.
