A nice bouncy version...the phrasing/ pauses seem right despite the speed. Other versions are slower yet feel more rushed- if that makes sense. But raises a great question about interpretation and authorial intention....Toscanini was a big fan of "come e scrito" (play as written)...which begs the question as most of the greats did not put in constant tempo and phrasing cues all over score...
@TheMmesser I've read somewhere that Biondi is investigating the way orchestras played in mozart's time (and around that time), and it seems they played it this way, it's only since the las century that orchestras started playing Mozart softer and delicately. It makes more sense to me, after all Mozart enjoyed taking instruments and orchestras to its extremes, and was fascinated by the Manheim school in his time which extended the limits of orchestras as we know them.
Wow that's fast! It's somewhat refreshing to hear the Baroque flare in there...different to the more 'classical' sound that so many people tried to make, myself included when I studied this a few years ago. Thanks for sharing.

Hey folks..This a decent performance, but the tempo? My god, either he had a plane to catch or the studio was on fire! Way, way too fast!//:isten to Grumiaux, much more elegant..Mozart wrote allegro, not presto.. while this guy has the chops, his speed muddies the lines ..also, some of his spur of the moment ornamentation is a bit too cute
..there are treatises and letters that illustrate in a very accurate manner how these musics were played in that time... one must only do the effort to read them..
para mi la interpretacion es demasiado mecanico...parece que no le gusta usar arco o algo? le da miedo las notas ligadas....no se. pero me gusta mucho la obra, muy bonita!
i hate this version

I guess they had a train to catch. Decent performance, but way too fast. They ended up sounding like a very talented high school orchestra.

My school orchestra is playing the first movement of this piece for our spring concert. It's scary, but it's a lot of fun. :)

Fantastisch! So energisch, leicht, ausdrucksvoll, freulich-Mozart und Fabio Biondi ist eine gute Gruppe.

I wrote a cadenza to this movement. It's over fourteen minutes long!
