  • I thought I was high that time im like WTF IS HAPPENONG AAAAAHHHR

  • 1:37 Mr. Potato Head :D

  • the moon was like this last night

  • I just came.....!

  • this is beautiful! lol i saw a big full moon one day but it looks titchy compared to this one...... okay maybe mine wasnt big but it look larger than usual. :P

  • @SimSlikVIm This was a special event when the moon was closest to the earth for like 18years, so it looked extra big, I was surprised myself as it appeared above the horizon, You are right about the moon always looking bigger as it rises, its some kind of scientific optical effect, I think a moon rise is cooler than a sun rise, but usually low cloud gets in the way of seeing it.

  • I SEE 2 EYES 1 NOSE AND 1 MOUTH WITH KRULSS<<dd

  • How do you get so many tags in steve or do you just type them in?

  • and i thought i was just high

  • so will there be next time? I would like to see something like that with my own eyes----Amazing!!!

  • Awesome sight!!

  • I saw that moon in brighton and it really was awesome

  • I live in Nova Scotia and the Moon wasn't even close to being this big.

  • The super moon in the U.S wasn't this big! It's wish I was in England during the summer.

  • Imaging been up close to that,,, that wouldbe aswsome!! :P

  • I looked at the moon at night on that day and it looked the same as it usually does. How come others saw a massive moon?

  • lucky for me i was sleeping or i will get a heart attack lol

  • Incredibly beautiful footage, thanks for sharing!!!

  • saturn..

  • I remember watching it rise as I just looked around the corner, and there was a red dot on the horizon, didn't look like a light so I stayed and looked, acouple seconds later. There it was.

  • amazing, so beautifull.

  • I remember that day and it was fantastic to see.

  • Ahhhhh....fresh memories...not...i hated this stupid moon...cause it cause hella random ass shit in the world...like it changed the weather to be all bipolar.

  • refraction and scatering of the light as it passes through that much more air. As the lightsource rises the light passes through less air so we see a clearer image. Same thing hapens to the sun, that's why we get so many colors in the sky at sunrise and sunset.

  • Wow that`s` beautiful, You can even see the bumps and craters.

Would love to have seen that close up through a telescope.

  • It's a wonder the retards aren't saying this is Nibiru.

  • I know this is gonna sound crazy, but as this moon appears, it makes me think of Katie Price "Jordan" the model.

  • @Wonkabar007 srsly ?

  • Wow unbelievable!

  • Its a lovely and atmospheric video - but there's no magnification of the moon via the atmosphere though - it's apparent size is an optical illusion caused by the context of the horizon and in this case, enhanced by the telephoto. Even a Super-moon at its perigee is only a fraction of a percent bigger to the eye when measured in radians! Doesn't stop it form appearing huge and beautiful! Can we try to do some background music for this?

  • @Devilchild7139 Of course the moon can appear bigger - up to 25% bigger - since it has an eliptical orbit around Earth varying from approx 180,000 miles up to around 230,000 miles. The telephoto lens factor only comes into play if you have no other reference points to relate it to. In this video, as the moon rises higher into the sky it is becoming smaller since it is also moving further away from the filmed location as its azimuth changes.

  • Its must be smaller you fool !!!!

  • fake

  • @DarthSion1231 ignorant

  • i never saw it the place was cloudy >:( a rare oppertunity ruined i wont see it for like a decade or something BLOODY CLOUDS

  • @AndersonFamily12 apparently there might be one on november 14th 2016 i dont know how reliable the sources are but heres to hope

  • THATS SO FAKE THE NOON CANT GO UP THAT FAST

  • Wow that looks really beautiful....hey, why is my tail twitchinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

  • That is amazing! I miss Brighton and EGKA!

  • it was so fucking AWESOME THAT NIGHT!

  • Mesmerising ! ! !

  • wow. why is it so big. ive only seen it no bigger than a quarter

  • I've only caught the moon twice in my life rising with JUST the right amount of moisture to act like a magnifying glass, but it was amazing indeed. Thanks for the video!!!

  • @NJBeemaster Interesting, didn't know about the moisture effect, I must look it up.

  • @NJBeemaster I too have only seen this twice. I have photos of it setting here on Maui in the early am. It was just as beautiful, with palm trees in the foreground and islands in the background. I've also seen it appear glowing, round and orange during a total lunar eclipse in Washington. Great video.

  • BEAUTIFUL VID :D

  • Amazing :Dx

  • Sweet. Just up the rd from me

  • SE VE HERMOSA *0* XOXO

  • That is just amazing!!

  • Now that is a fucking gorjuss view! I live in whitehawk.. Where was that taken??

  • @downard21 Taken from a hill at Lancing, the building to the right of the moon is Brighton race course.

  • Holy shit. I live in germany but had never seen such a big moon ... Amazing !

  • thats amazing! but its huge moon ever! lmao.

  • Towards the end it looks like a dimmed down sun lol

  • I was hanging out with friends that night. we all watched the moon rising, it was pretty big on the east coast of America but not this big. Nice video

  • @IrishmanNH Its strange how it looks a different size from different locations, we need a Geek to come up with an explanation. It was 9 kilometres from where I was standing, to the ridge where the moon rises, maybe thats a factor.

  • The moon was like this back in 1997 or 1998, I'm not sure exactly when it was but it looked amazing, I live in Scotland and I was coming back from work when i saw it, I had never seen the moon so big before and i've never forgot it

  • its beautifull supermoon

ı live in turkey now so ı don't looking the moon

  • it bigger then i saw it where i live

  • that was so amazing watching it rise!!!!

  • check out Nasa shots.hhhh hahahahahahaaaa nothing. lol, This was beautifull.

  • O.O is this for real???????? OMG how did I miss this!!!!! Now ill have to wait like 20 years to see another moon like this one.

  • @Xxac1348xX and it might be raining on that day LOL!

  • @Xxac1348xX 2016

  • @Xxac1348xX

No! In 2016 there will be a new one!

  • This is the only video on youtube where the cameraman actually understands to use a background object to demonstrate the size of a super moon. I remember seeing a super moon 25 years ago where it was bigger than a house as it rose up. It's like being on an alien planet. I missed it this year because I overslept. When I got up at 3 AM the moon had already moved back. You only really see a super moon as it comes up on the horizon.

  • How beautiful! Even though we were supposed to be able to see it in Newfoundland very clearly, it was snowing so it was too cloudy to see, which was sad.

  • is it me or the moon just got nearer and nearer every year??

  • beautiful

  • thanks for clear video

  • This was great, shame you didn't have a tripod the shakiness spoils it a bit. I used to live near there you picked a good spot to film. To answer matycee both the Earth and the Moon are moving. This was filmed facing north as the road you see is the A27 that runs east-west along the South coast.

  • Best super moon video ive ever seen :)

  • Really great shot! Amazing! I share this on FB. Beautiful shot makes us in Japan happy.

  • @sarukabalove Very pleased you like this video, I hope things in Japan get better soon.

  • I fuckig missed it because it was so dam cloudy! FUCK YOU MOTHER NATURE!

  • That's a great shot!

  • wow that's huge.. the moon didn't look as big as that where I am, plus it was cloudy too :\

  • Thanks for shearing !!!

    It's cloudy in Skopje - Macedonia !

  • yea the moon sucked in MI

  • Better moon rise than we had in the U.S. nice shot

  • is this real ?

  • pretty dam amazing stuff.

  • DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM

  • ITS THE UK....THANKS

  • THAT WAS A GREAT SHOT OF SUPERMOON SO FAR YOUR VIDEO IS THE BEST OF ALL I HAVE SEEN....WHERE WAS THIS AT?...LOOKS LIKE THE UK?

  • DAMN CHICAGO WEATHER!!!

  • So glad someone had a good video of this! Friday here in Swansea was cloud free, Saturday - cloud! Will the moon stay big for a while or is it all over now?

  • @charandnafe Might be worth a try, moonrise for Swansea is 20.08

  • Brilliant mine will be on shortly

  • I SEEN A LOT OF VIDEOS PEOPLE PUT UP ABOUT THE SUPERMOON AND THEY ALL SUCK....THIS VIDEO RIGHT HERE IS FUCKING DOPE :D ...GREAT FUCKING VIDEO :)

  • all of Bulgeria was in clouds FCK didn't saw a shit ... hate the weather :D

  • guys i swear you might not blv me but i saw same thing 3 weeks ago

  • fuckin wow

  • Holy shit! I never saw this last night, amazing!!

  • lovely vid, actually noticed that the moon is as close as it is going to get for 20 years so my daughter will be 22 before she can point at it like she did last night.

    Bingley, uk

  • Wow----best one I've found!! Well done!!! Thank you!!! Cloudy here in Spokane, WA, so looked for it online. Just stunning!!

  • good video. you're the only one who captured landmarks along with the moon to show the size. everyone else just recorded the moon by itself

  • Good capture this is GORGEOUS!! I also captuted it here in New Orleans if you want to see the video!

  • OMG WHO NEEDS A telescope when you can touch it @___@ amazing i seen it some what little smaller but still huge at about 9.00 o clock. awesome

  • stunning vid mate . Well done. If one stares just at the bottom of the moon as it's just coming up, the illusion of the Earth moving instead can be experienced(imagined). Really cool, thanks! It's cloudy here in Portland, OR....as usual.

  • @matycee That is a cool effect, in reality I wonder what is moving, the Earth or the Moon?

  • @Wonkabar007 You really wonder?

    Both by the way.

  • well, both obviously. but pretty sure the moon moves quicker around the earth than the earth is spinning. although, now that i'm thinking about it...the speed at which the sun appears to set or rise...that seems plenty close enough to the speed that moon does in fact set and rise. still, since we're ON the earth, i doubt we could detect IT moving relative to ANOTHER moving body, like the moon. Versus a still(though rotating) body like the sun. Ok i need a drink

  • @Wonkabar007 and @matycee, it is the Earth which is moving. We just don't feel it because we're on it. Similarly, the sun doesn't rise. We are simply turning towards it.

  • @Moragmag I can see it now, just as the last bit of moon lifts from the horizon, I can see the earth rolling eastward underneath the moon.

  • The End IS Near...

  • To Bad For Us In Canada The Moon Is SMALL!! :(

  • WAIT!! That's no MOON!

    DEATHSTAR ALERT!

  • @Rushynet LOL! this is probably the last sight a planet would have, before the Deathstar opens fire.

  • That's not the moon.. that is the bald headed man in the Monty Python cartoons.. :) Well, at least it looked like it in the beginning.. what a magnificent sight it turned out to be, though.. !! :)

  • thank you for capturing the beginning of the rising full moon today i couldnt see it for myself cause of stupid fake clouds but i thank you

  • really great camera work mate aweasome i tried at 20 .13 hrs cloudy blocked by trees POOR CAMERA WORK POOR CAMERA MAN THANKS for loading have put this in my favorites .... cheers.

  • @westmids11 Cloud its a real pain, I had my camera all set up but the moon appeared out of shot, so I had to run 100m to get the angle LOL! filming this sort of thing is damn tricky but fun. I should of done a recce the night before, so I could mark the best spot to film from.

  • That thing is a beast. Looks unreal.

  • awesome still daytime over here in Canada cant wait to see it !

  • @planesfreek Your in for a treat, I didn't expect it to be red and golden.

  • @Wonkabar007 LOL

Great Vid! And yer, I got your reference to american warewolf in london. Did anyone else I wonder?
