Very impressive, perhaps you could also develop the clickity clack of the rail-joints, too. I rather like the plumes of smoke at the beginning of the clip, also.
i dont want to sound critical but if you have more than one loco with sound activated on your layout you just end up with a total racket.....after paying £130+ for a loco you would be just as well off with a recording of loads of locos... cheers
Everyone is welcme to there own opinion but I would like to see you record your own sounds and fit it into a 00 locomotive for less than £130. I think the price is a bargin!
I'm absolutely fascinated with DCC, sound, smoke etc, although was very disappointed to hear that a local Exhibition Manager wanted the sound turning down or off because of complaints from neighbouring exhibitors! Mind you, can you imagine exhibitions of the future - you won't be able to hear yourself think! - Great products though.
Thats the sort of thing i would like to get for my new trains or locos that i would like to include on my new model railway layout aswell which i would be able to put in my garage, as sound although the price i think of £80 upwards really does bring the authenticity and bring your layout to life.
These r good and entertaining no doubt although massively overpriced for my liking; also they all have the "small speaker in a big room" sound; kind of distant.
England - hornby bachman etc use OO scale or 4mm to the foot, but HO and OO use same gauge track! OO is ever so slightly bigger than it should be for track gauge, ie, ho is accurate.
wasn't this on one of the railway modeller CD-ROMs? (or was it a DVD?)

in britain O guage is HO am i right? plus these arnt hornby are they? the detail is jsut incredible.
Haydz01 3 years ago
no, ho is 00. And this aren't hornby
devsvidztv 3 years ago
HO is half O gauge!
ho is 3.5mm to the foot.
England - hornby bachman etc use OO scale or 4mm to the foot, but HO and OO use same gauge track! OO is ever so slightly bigger than it should be for track gauge, ie, ho is accurate.
tpvalley 3 years ago
Thanks i finally understand it after all these years! Its so silly how some things are but, anywho, cheers.
Haydz01 3 years ago
ha! another confusing scale is gauge 1 and G gauge, both same track gauge but different scales and some r narrow gauge!
Theres also 009 which is OO scale with N gauge track that is half of ho/oo!!
oh and ON30 which may be O scale on OO/HO track!
Its like learning chinese!!
conichi wa OO ho O on30! lol!
tpvalley 3 years ago
@Haydz01 you are wrong
ho gouge works with oo gouge but is on a slightly smaller size(about 1/10 smaller)
matanuialive2010 1 year ago
@Haydz01 0 is bigger than ho/oo
pyronathanpyro 1 year ago
@Haydz01 No, HO is OO 4mm to the foot. The thing wrong with it is that the OO tracks are too narrow for this scale.
SteffanLlwyd 1 year ago
@Haydz01 Though I think this looks like EM gauge ....

@Haydz01
Hornby is releasing some very detailed models. It's just it's not yet consistent with all the models, just the select few get all the details.
