  • @samson4077 This has been out of print since the Carter administration. The picture IS the cover of the album. It's titled "The New Tradition Live". On the Japanese label Red Clay Records. GOOD LUCK!

  • You sure this is Keith Whitley? Doesn't sound like his voice...

  • @wildcatter63 I'm pretty sure!

  • cool never new he did this thanks ps check my site out

  • The Tom T Hall version came out about 35 years ago, in the mid-seventies.

  • I like Keith Whitley, but this is a Tom T Hall song that he covered. If you don't know that you should look him up, nobody tells a story in a song like him.

  • "The man that preached the funeral said it really was a simple way to die, He layed down to rest one afternoon and never opened up his eyes" That's just how Keith went, RIP, Missed Forever

  • thank you so much for posting these, keith is missed dearly here and its nice to hear his good ol' songs

  • Love to listen to Keith, thanx for posting!

  • This is from the live concert album from Hugo, Oklahoma, isn't it? I guess it would have to be, since this was the only New Tradition album ever recorded. (Duh!) Keep 'em comin'!!!

  • Actually New Tradition recorded several albums during the 1990's. I have acquired several over the last couple of years and the VHS tape of Seed of Love....so there is a lot of their work available. They disbanded in the early 2000's.

  • You moron Keith Whitley died in 1989..this is BLUEGRASS not that crap from 1990..I cant believe you even posted this...This was 1 album keith whitley had with this band...
