@IMASIANSNIPA I know how jazz style sounds like on clarinet... but it is also diffrent opinions in countries on how clarinet shall sound, i guess in Norway and Sweden we have a completely diffrent meaning how a clarinet shall sound than what country this old man is from.

Woody Allen is just an ordinary clarinet player like a million others.He is nothing compared to Benny Goodman,Artie Shaw,Pete Fountain,Jim Valentine etc etc.It's his name that gets him in the limelight but I heard from his musicians that he is an A--------hole.

I don't think that Woody Allen is a not very good clarinet player. It is a very different style of clarinet (blues like) but it is defianately unique. You should hear the 'Wild Man Blues' Blues on itunes. The stuff is good.

Woody may not be a great clarinetist; however this is the best he has ever played. The tune is "Algiers Strut". I collect jazz clarinet tracks and I only have 2 other tracks of this tune. One is Monty Sunshine and Woody on this track compares very favorably with Sunshine. My clarinet jazz collection (by lead artists and/or well respected clarinetists of the date of the track) totals almost 1000 by over 100 different clarinetists. My queries: when?, where?, and who else is playing with Woody?
