  • A giant box, that releases boxes, with a box inside. WE NEED TO GO DEEPER

  • The snacks are expensive in japan.

  • LOL a box inside a box... thank god japan recycles ....

  • I love that ice cream... when i was little i used to go to japan all the time and i called the ice cream "Square Ice Cream" and i still do :P

  • seriously out of all the subscriptions i have on utube, yours is the only one i look forward to on a daily basis, thank you for all the videos

  • It seems most of the stuff is pretty original in japan and the look of the machine an also it gives you much more than american vending machines do all you can get is like one beef jerkey or a mini mini mini bag of doritos with 7 miniature doritos in it

  • RETRO MACHINE LOL

  • Why are the vending machines outside? :O

  • i guessing the machine dispenser cant boxes the small or two would come at the same time or Jam it.

  • buns in foil, in a box, that`s in a box....

we need to go deeper !

  • well thats a waste of boxes :(

  • @gerty94 They recycle a lot so it's oké I guess.

  • what flavor is the white and blue one that appears at the bottom right at 0:32 (just wondering )

  • I thought that potato machine serve mashed potatoes! =P

  • @santiks

ah,sorry.[POTATO BOY] vending machine cannot serve mashed potatos.

But,[POTATO BOY] vending machine was [LUNCH BOY] in former days. They was redecorated.

    [LUNCH BOY] is served LUNCH(Bento BOX,Burger,French fries,Rice boll,noodles,etc...),literally.

Why was They redecorated,I think Because Conveinience store increase in Japan.

  • thumbs up if you thought calorie mate was a fictional product found only in metal gear solid!

  • That outside box is requirement of these type of vending machine.

because those of goods size are different from each other, it is important doing to an even size.

outside box is for to buy small goods.

    ε=ε=┏( ・_・)┛

  • we've had those in canada for years. see them allot in hotels etc.

  • haha they got so many packages just for that choco. In america, you would only get that white wrapper! My marketing teacher once told me Japanese are very keen on packaging. It doesn't matter what is inside but the outside has to be pretty.

  • For a moment I thought I saw Pocky ice cream as an option and got very excited, but I guess not. ^^; I can always hope. =]

  • I love Japanese goodies...they are always so much fun to look at,,,the advertising on them is so funny sometimes..sometimes doesnt make sense either. :) Random Question: Do you ever watch RunnyRunny's vids on here? He's very entertaining.

  • Thumbs up for using one hand to open stuff. haha. Interesting video.

  • ♥ ♥ ♥gree tea ice cream♥ ♥ ♥ *mega drool!*

  • hmm... What do they do to products that are about to expire?

  • I'm checking the expiration dates on the things I get from vending machines from now on...

  • Thank you for the video. I would be very surprised to find expired food in a vending machine, but at the same time I do not check the dates on the food items I purchase from a vending machine. I need to start checking.

  • so BIg Boss got his Calorie Mates from the vending machine. lolz

  • this brought back memories of my last job which was in a small museum that wasnt allowed food because people could handle artifacts - but a manager who worked in the offices decided it would be a good idea to get a vending machin - we thought it would be a snack one cos we have a lunch area for schools - but he decided to get an ice cream one in the last week of the school summer holiday - they put it so it blocked access to the store room under the stairs -

  • You may have mentioned this but who stocks these?? Just wondering!! Love your videos!!

  • I believe Choco A-npan is marketed in the US as 'Hello Panda'. Looks like it.

  • Lol, I never checked the dates before but I will now. XD;

  • love ice cream vending machines =]

  • I must say, that it is amazing that all those vending machines work.

  • Dont Japanese people get offended or something like that when you or shall I say foreigners record stuff ...even though you live in Japan . ? Like if you were to record something in "Tsukiji Market" ? If you might hand over the video to someone else so that it can be shown on media to see what's really going on in Japan .

Sorry for the long question .. Hope you get my point !! If you cant then ,,I was trying to say something which happened to the documentary "The Cove" in Japan .

  • Thumbs up for Nissan!!!!!!!!!

  • Always love your videos! 良いお年を!

  • I was hoping to lose some weight and eat healthy during my College break but after watching this video I went out and bought green tea ice cream. I am ashamed of my will power.

  • i didnt know potato boy. thats rare machine :D

  • When I read the title of this video I thought it said "Ice cream and Napalm". I have dyslexia.

  • @97North

  • your awesome!!!! You actually give all the info about Japan living better than anybody els in youtube lol thank you very much for your times.

  • Potato Boy is a pretty cute name for a machine.

  • Id be afraid to eat some things you find in those machines!

  • You should do a vid on the strange Kit Kat flavors they have in Japan. There are a lot of really odd ones like Wasabi and such.

  • Merry Christmas!

  • Merry Christmas japanchanel and japanchanel`s subscribers ! ^^

  • i was expecting mash potatos

  • do they have coffee ice-cream in japan? is the coffee ok in japan? thanks :-)

  • what car are you driving?

  • Merry Christmas !

  • That's really cool! Are there any desserts you thought were strange at first but now you really like?

  • a box .inside a box... funny.

  • Three packages for probably 75g of sweets ?

Plz people stop trashig earth and start makin your own stuff at home.

  • @CR84 Check the video on recycling in Japan

  • @CR84 not every body has the time to make all the food at home. home made food is the best... don't you thing if people has got the time they just would do it

  • @Houstof Everybody has the same Amount of time for anything they choose to do.

Its just a matter of effort.

  • @CR84 not allways... some ppl in japan works for 12~16 hours a day.... i wanna see you make your own food every day with that time left....

  • @Houstof I sometimes have to Work for up to 26 hours. Then I go an prepare stuff before.

And dont get me wrong I'm not particularly against eating out.

He who hates cooking shall not be doomed, but why those tiny (probably expensive) packages with every peace packed itself.

    It's ridiculous.

I'm just saying: Dont't buy that crap. Buy less packaged fresh stuff or consider preparing your own food if possible in big dimensions to save energy, money and physical health. :)

  • @CR84 oh man... i don't know where u live.. but in japan theres lots of bento houses where ppl can buy real food for not too much.... my brother used to eat those daily... its home made food... i like to prepare my food too... seems more hygienic and i know whats what =D

  • Is the stuff in vending machines more expensive than normally?

  • @TheJapanChannelDcom I'm surprised in the US they haven't thought of to implement an ice cream vending machine. Well actually there are some and only a few kinds, but nothing like this one. That is definitely not a "generic" box. It looks pretty damn nice especially for a vending machine.

  • Was that your gf helping you? LOL

  • Merry Christmas! I hope you had lots of rum balls, Chrissy pudding as well as Kurisumasu keeki.

  • You should do a Christmas video! And merry christmas!!

  • @BrokenClocks08

Made 3 Japan Christmas videos over the last 2 years..

the most recent was a week ago...

  • @TheJapanChannelDcom It is youtube not showing the subscription videos on the front page!

  • Merry Kurismasu (hope I spelled that right) from the United Kingdom!

  • merry Christmas and if you can can you try to make longer videos, but if you can but it would be better *_*

  • what kind of car is that? looks like a cube.

  • Hope you had an enjoyable Karimasu!

  • Love the strange vin, machines.

  • Videos on xmas day? :O Merry Christmas dude :)

  • Sugoiiiiii!!!!!

  • i like that you said "more videos coming soon" instead of "moaaaaaar videoos coming soooooooooooooon"

  • Always love green tea anything.

  • So sweet :)

  • 難以想像!

  • like the green tea ice cream

  • A box in a a box is not very ecologic. I'm disapointed, I though Japanese took in consideration these kinds of details...

  • Was it any good. It looks different.

  • Some of the vending machines in Japan look so cool! Way better than the boring ones over here. :(

  • I was expecting Anpanman. xD

  • Hahaa! I've heard that you can get stuff like burgers and chips, pizza and chicken from vending machines too.. I was wondering if you knew how it works? Is there a fryer and hotplate inside the machine to cook it????

  • @KirstieXoXo

    Usually microwave..

you can see all that stuff on the vending machine playlist..

  • The box in a box seems fairly inconsistent with an environmentally conscious world. I suspect it is for the sole purpose of allowing the vending machine to dispense the items properly. (ie: size continuity) With every item the same size the machine's working parts are simpler. I don't know, but maybe that's the reason for the generic boxes of a nominal size. Let's have a Happy Merry Christmas!

  • WOW!!! THAT COOOOL!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA XD

  • Be careful, i had one of those mint ones and it all leaked out the bottom!

    Messy.

  • There's a box in a box ! hehe

  • wow, wow. wow......

  • Great! Everything in Japan looks so tasty...

  • I wish we had these in my country :D

  • @ralithelion I wish I had one in my room!

  • Suprisingly that icecream is really good!
