China Forbes of Pink Martini

China Forbes is a great singer with a wonderful voice and fun, captivating presence, but that's all lost when the song and band is just ordinary. I can't really blame her for wanting to take a break from Pink Martini and do something...well...ordinary. Trouble is, how often does a truly groundbreaking gig like Pink Martini (and bandleader Thomas Lauderdale) come around in someone's lifetime? For nearly all singers, the answer is never. Regardless, she's a great talent. I wish her huge success.

Gosh. Nice enough but not a style what I would pay for, I would walk out after 5 minutes shell shocked. An eye opener and a warning.

I have no problem with her not wanting to be typecast so long as I know which China Forbes is going to turn up. I far prefer her Pink Martini Style.
