  • Ok im like toootaly lost in these 10 proejects it looks like all his doing is taking the systmes apart just playing them.....wat is he doing to them???

  • Making them compatible with each other to have around 20 original console boards working together in one unit with one video out, one power supply in and one controller for all systems. It is a very complex project as systems are proprietary and need lateral thinking to make them work together.

  • just a recomendation for the ps2: installa hdd and hdd loader with fmcb, that wil help you save space.

  • @ZeRRRoKa and it will be quiet..

  • love these vids bac!

  • It's all so messy!

  • i want to do a project similar to this, but with all the nintendo home consoles in one, got any advice?

  • Sure, join my forum, post your thread and when you need advice I can help. made-by-bacteria (.) com

  • 6:41 I'd want ps2 a controller like that! No joke. Any way you can make a ps2 only controller that looks just like that, but with the sony logo and sell it? I'd buy it for sure.

  • @JetStorm17277 depending on the price of course

  • you really like batman don't ya? lol, my friend michael would love you! haha.

Great video, can't wait to see the final product whenever that happens :)

  • Actually, not a fan really especially, there were logical reasons why I adopted the personna (for want of better expression); a mish-mash of reasons!

  • With the controller - no idea; might be for all I know; all I did was find a workaround that worked - would be interesting to know - and also why the video ground was also an issue?

  • The issue with the ground--could it have something to do with the analog-digital function of the DualShock2 controller?

  • If you mean with the screen, then no, normally, ground is ground is ground; however for some weird reason, the ground has to be from the motherboard ground, not even from "video ground"; quite strange - bottom line is it works great from where is does, just meant I had to use a double throw switch for ground.

  • @MODDEDbyBACTERIA

Actually I was referring to the "weird ground" wire you mentioned in the video on the part with the controller board. I was thinking of the "analog" button between the control sticks.

  • When is the next part coming out??

  • Will be sensibly around a month or two, I have a couple of outstanding commissions in progress to finish first, will then tackle the Sega Saturn, i'm not sure if i'm interested in including this system due to limited game interest on that platform, but will have a check anyway.

  • Wow what do you do as a job

  • @castorlestrado I believe his website says he's an electrical engineer, but don't quote me on that. You should check out his page.

  • My bad I see the nes was added but other systems?

  • As below, a fair few more systems, cart and CD based. Will be around 17 different console boards providing 20 systems on original hardware.

  • Are you going to add any older cartridge systems such as the nes snes or n64. They could go at the top

  • Yes, cartridge systems, Atari 7800 (also plays 2600), NES, SNES, N64, Jaguar, TurboGrafx, NeoGeo, Intellivision, MegaDrive, SMS.

  • you sir are a god at modding consoles!

  • out of interest , how do you think that the trace on the mem/controller board got damaged?

  • No idea, must have come like that because the trace was missing mostly from the board, I worked out what the connection linked to and wired it up and the memory card became stable as a result.

  • kipkay has nothing on you

  • maybe the saturn. what do you think? do you have it.

  • Comment removed

  • Saturn is the next system i'll do on this project when I get back to it.

  • @MODDEDbyBACTERIA Fantastic!

  • I think you should also install a Dreamcast in as well.. just a suggestion but would be fantastic

  • I'm going to.

  • This omega system is going to be present on G4 for sure. IT HAS TO BE! All this precious time spent!

  • Are you planning on using the snes or the sega cd

  • LOVE what you are doing here. I just watched all 10 parts. Now, I wait. :)

  • Nice, always look forward to these updates.

  • Fantastic!

  • WHY YOU DONT USE A PS2 SLIM?

  • As mentioned in the video, I got a PS2 fat cheaply, (about 1/5 the price of a PS2 slim) and there was no issue regards size or weight for the system for this application.

  • @MODDEDbyBACTERIA hey if you use a memory card for ps1 you can load / save ps1 games

  • Worth knowing! I've got several, and I made the memory card in the PS2 removable, so no issues!

  • How many more systems are you going to add to this project?

  • There will be 15 - 17 unique original console boards in total, making 20 or 21 console systems in total, as the GBA uses GameBoy player, the PS1 uses PS2 and Atari2600 uses Atari7800.

Loads of work to do yet!

  • @MODDEDbyBACTERIA well i suppose it gives us a long term series to watch if nothing else lol waiting to see the finished system is going to have such a build up i hope you have some fancy case for it in the end!

  • I'll make it as nice as I can, given the constraints the system will put on me regards positioning and space. It will integrate into the design of the surroundings in my living room.

  • haha, I have Quake Revolution also (original)... Interesting concept the AO project... Keep working!

  • Thanks. I'll end up with one base unit something like the equivalent size of around three original Xbox's roughly, on top of each other, yet containing loads of consoles and only needing one power supply and one controller and cable for all.

  • Very nice. Always happy to see these updates. Possibly stupid question: Will you be including a PS1 as well? There's a few titles - but only a few - that won't work on the PS2. Probably nothing major, but it begs the question. Personally I don't see the need, but I'm curious.

  • Wasn't going to incorporate a PS1 as the PS2 works with PS1 titles as no point. I've got a big stack of PS1 games and loads of PS2 games, if a couple don't work I won't lose any sleep about it. BTW, what titles from the PS1 won't work on the PS2 out of interest, I thought they all would?

  • @MODDEDbyBACTERIA Search google for the wiki page "List of PlayStation games incompatible with PlayStation 2" There's about 9 games. And then, if it's a model SCPH-30001 there's a few more.

  • Interesting, although as mentioned by TehUberCyberBeast it isn't an issue, but interesting none the less; and thanks for the info!

  • ahhhh great work man been waiting for this patiently :) cant wait for more, out of 10 what would you rate the dificulty of the ps2

  • The actual system itself wasn't difficult, it was the troubleshooting and working out why there was interference on the screen image and then how to resolve the issues, and why the controller didn't initially work with normal ground. Both solutions involved modifications to the main system and how it integrated with the other console systems which meant more headaches. Got there in the end!

  • @MODDEDbyBACTERIA so all good in the end haha, i experienced the same thing with the xbox, when i slimmed it down i did a few things with the video, and it didnt like being grounded to anything but the console :/

  • Interesting - I wasn't going to incorporate the Xbox because it needs far more watts than my system can provide, and would increase the height to more than would fit in the space I have allocated - the reason you mention puts the final nail in the coffin, I can accommodate the PS2 insisting on using itself for grounding but can't have another system doing that as well, thanks for the information!

  • @MODDEDbyBACTERIA haha no problem glad i was of some help.....sort of haha,

quick note will be posting on the forums soon with w.i.p of my GcP i would have put up sooner but killed my board somehow, but anyway keep a look out :D

anyway enough self promotion on my half,

good luck on the rest of the project

  • @geno344 I doubt you have any talent to do something like this

  • I'm doing it, and it's working, so of course I do! No-one else has made a system this ambitious or with as many integrated systems before, and certainly not with a single system, single power supply and single controller for all.

  • This system was never going to be a handheld, it was always going to be a base unit. With around 20 original console boards when done, wood, wiring, etc, it will weigh several kilos.

  • <3 Bacteria!

  • ;o)

  • As I always Say FINALY

First comment first like first veiw

  • Yay!
