I would like to see St George's day made a bank holiday, a seperate Shakespear's day, as his birthday is the same as St George's day 23 April (doh), maybe a bank holiday should be made on his death, oh crap he died on his birthday, 23 April (why do you make things too difficult Shakspear lol)
Also, i'd like to see a protected status given to the following sports, Cheese Rolling, Bottle Kicking, Cotswold Games, Grasmere Sports and Bog Snorlkling.

Also, Easter at the latest is April 21. Which would be a cool 3 day bank holiday.

Easter is already a 3-Day holiday if you include Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday.
Having said that I don't think it's appropriate to have religious festivals such as Easter and Christmas as national holidays either.
