@captainatomistheOne Actually UMVC3 has more characters then tekken 6 and tag tournament 2. and capcom never has done customizable characters for marvel vs series so thats not a surprise if its not in there(I have tekken adn soul calibur for cuztomization if i want to anyways). at least capcom actually made dlc costumes for the game and heroes and heralds mode, also although this is a rumor they might be releasing more dlc i hope.

I personally think this game is a big fuck you to gamers. they brag that it was 10 years in the making. the bring out a half made game then a few onths later bring out the same game only with 12 new people. and don't even hope for a magneto alternate now that its been cancled is to is to much work for capcom and it defies the complete lack of effort they had for this game. already its on to bigger things now like streetfight x tekken with only half the chars form each side

Capcom didn't reduce the content AT ALL. They added twelve characters, eight stages, two modes and costumes. In addition, they balanced the game go so far as to give characters new moves! How is that less content?

In the last two games, they made moves up for Mega Man, but that's poor representation. They decided that if they put somebody in the game, he has to use his own moves, but Mega Man didn't have enough melee moves to work. The result? Zero, and no Mega Man.

@ArktikiceFrost Spoiled, seriously? Spoiled got us Shuma-Gorath? As a paying consumer of on-disk DLC crap, I'd trade him for Psylocke or Spiral in a heartbeat. Don't get me wrong, I like virtually everyone on the new roster (I could live without Frank), but you can't write off every past character as a nostalgia relic. Imagine having Psylocke AA assist in UMvC3, or even better, a reworked character that can perform on point, too.

...And it's not nostalgia if you played MvC2 yesterday.

Guys this isn't Super Smash Bros.

YES the MvC series partially runs on fanservice and seeing popular characters beat each other up, but making a solid fighting system and having every character bring something unique to the game. Conceptually, everything Mega Man did is pretty much covered by Arthur and Zero, and as somebody said he was no fun at all in MvC1 and 2.

That's why you constantly hear people saying that they want such characters as Mega Man, Gambit, Psylocke, Omega Red, Juggernaut, Venom and Carnage to be in the game. They're too spoiled by the past Marvel/Capcom crossovers to realize that other characters from other series need some time to shine. If they had their way, the new characters (excluding Strider Hiryu) wouldn't be in it.

I could say the same for SF4. It really is a mystery as to way the blue bomber wasn't included. Although with the roster we have now, I wouldn't trade any of them for Megaman.
