  • This would have been a great song for Elvis to record.

  • Jimmie Rodgers is one of the best singers of all time! His pure, mellow and haunting voice has soothed millions of people all over the world! I am currently reading his book "Dancing on the Moon," (The Jimmie Rodgers Story). His faith in God is inspiring. It kept him alive! Whatever happened to him in the past does not matter anymore. He is now in God's "tender love and care." Thank you so much, Mr. Jimmie Rodgers!

  • Loved this song when I was 7 or 8, which was around the time it was released. Being a such a little kid, I had absolutely no idea what it was about. Didn't hear it for over 40 years, but now I fully understand the lyrics. Great song.

  • J'aime beaucoup Jimmie F Rodgers.

  • Beautiful.

  • One of my all time favorites. Another is The Good Times are Gone. Anybody able to put this on?

  • One of my top favorites. Love all his songs.

  • This was written by Ernie Maresca "the Original Wanderer" who also wrote Runaround Sue,Donna the Prima Donna, just put his name in there are so many great undiscovered songs

  • what an incredible song! released by the great jimmie f. rodgers in 1967, it was his last in a long string of hits. this song is all about being there for your children and raising them to be good people, otherwise society can ruin them. i look around and am saddened. i guess not too many parents out there got the message of the song. oh well, thank you for trying mr. rodgers, god bless.
