Ur kit sounds pretty good. But in my opinion Addictive Drums is king of drum software. Its the easiest to use, the most realistic sounding, and cheaper. But BFD 2 is defintely better than any drum module out there. But people have there own preferences and likes so I guess thats why they make so many drum programs.
Nice Setup. I got BFD2 and it sounds Awesome. I couldn't Ask for better quality sounding drums ever. I noticed your running Cubase, I use pro-tools with a massive amount of plugins, Nive vid
hey mate, how many presets does the bfd2 have?i have a td9sx vdrums,is it possible to transfer the programs and presets of the bfd2 to the td9 module,so you can use it on live and if its possible how to do it?cheers.
@newhorizon2000 Get a MacBook and use Logic to host BFD... that way you can have it on live sets... you can't put the sounds of BFD in your drumkit's module
I am about to purchase the new TD-4S, and am wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of an online tutorial for doing something similar with it. The samples sound amazing: I can close my eyes and envision the kit in the room.
Please explain your set up. I'm using BFD2 with TDW-20 V-Drums and get hellacious latency. I also have Logic Studio Pro and have tried BFD2 with it and without it as a Standalone function, and still there is tremendous latency. I have a MacBook Pro fully loaded with 4GB memory. M-Audio MIDISPORT interface. Any tips you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Sounds like a buffer size problem. In your input menu there should be someplace to control your buffer size/speed. Somewhere on something , you have a buffering problem. Do some searches on google on where to change your buffer settings on either the computer itself, within logic, or within bfd2.
yes I did figure out the problem..it was a matter of unplugging my MIDISport interface and plugging it back in that solved it. Strange! I also use Steven Slate Drums which I prefer over the BFD2 because they are already mixed. Thanks so much being in touch.
sick video man! Hey how do you get BFD2 working without any latency? I have heaps of delay on my mac book, plus it peaks heaps and lags. Do I need more RAM or do I have to change some settings or do I need a better interface??
Hey man nice video. I need some help with BFD2. I have practically the same kit as yours mines the TD-6V
I was just wondering whatdo you use to connect the TD-6 Brain to the computer because i tried using a midi to usb cable but nothing happens =\ reply if you can mate it would be much appreciated :)
If it's onboard sounds you're trying to get out of the TD-6, you're most-likely going to have to just send an audio cable from your TD-6V to your computer's interface, and record yourself playing live.
There usually isn't a way of putting the onboard samples onto your computer, unless someone has ripped them or the company itself provides a software.
MIDI cable wont do, because all the MIDI does is send info on what you're hitting and how hard. Not actual samples (sounds).
OH MY GOD! You rock my FUCKEN WORLD! Your like....AMAZING! Good to see there's still stooges on here who feel the need to be condescending and negative, or as they put it, "helpful" in "finding your way". Nobody just appreciates shit any more. Well, I DO, BABY!
Try to stick to something consistent, something like practising with a click track or so...Hope you find your way...learning drums is a fantastic thing to do!
How do you rate BFD next to DFHS? I'm a DFHS user but really wanting to get a v-drum kit (i'm also a guitarist wanting to take up the drums as you'll see on my profile) and thinking a TD6 or 8 into DFHS would be nice.
Jimmy, just curious, the equipment your using, I know nothing about it, but im guessing its pretty quiet when you bash it while not plugged in, can you give us a demo with out the amp turned on, just so I get the idea how loud it sounds all not turned on, oh and chat away while ya bashing away. This must be neighbor friendly if you have just a headset going?
nice!!
what midi usb interface do you use ?

hello chickenbum, nice video~~!!
btw I wanna ask that does the VH11 cope well with the module TD-6K? Becoz I saw on the catelog that VH-11 cannot fully compatable with TD-6K.
I am planning to change my CY-5 into VH-11...but I am worrying that it may not be triggered well in TD-6K.
Also would the module affect the quality of sampling when using BFD2 or SD2?
Hope you can help with my problem, thanks a lot~!!

Want BFD2 badly, I've got 800 gig free on my Mac ... should I?

Go with Steven Slate Drums, they are already mixed and sound great. Get the Platinum version if you can.

I wasn't too fond of the demos on the site,
how big is the install though?

About 10GB

don't worry, if you have it connected to the drum software like this, you have almost limitless sound editing capability.

Via what hardware are you feeding your kit through to your computer?
Fagottron 3 years ago 2
I believe it's a Roland module (can't find which type), I assume he's using the MIDI out on the module to feed the signal through to the computer.
