  • Don't know what I did, but at each end of my blanket, I inadvertently began to add one extra shell. Now I am on row seven and I have seven shells, as I climb up the ridge. As I add a row, as best as I can tell, an extra shell appears. I have to get better at reading the directions. By the way, as a visual learner, your video tutorials are fantastic. I'll try again. Any additional pointers?

  • @Misdamas remember to skip a shell ( go into the space AFTER the first shell) at the beginning of each row to account for the slant of the stitches.

  • Just watched from the beginning and it came out so pretty! Great colors and good instruction. Thank you so much for this video! Just beautiful!

  • I would like to send you a photo of my finished grannie ripple blanket, where can I send it to?

  • @1litski Host the picture on line somewhere. Ravelry would be the easiest place to share, but you can post it to flickr or photobucket or Picasa. Then send me a personal message here on You Tube. To do that click on my name It will take you to my channel, then on the right there is a send message button click that. Send me a note and paste the URL in the message.

  • I just finished my first big project and I owe a big thank you to you! You are a wonderful teacher and I hope to learn more techniques from you in the future. Keep up the great work!!

  • It's beautiful Beth! I am going to start mine tomorrow. I have to get yarn with no dye lot because I can't buy 10 skeins at once this month...lol I was wondering thought Once the border is on, could you go around it again to make the border thicker? If so, would I just go in every chain, or do it the same as the first round?

  • @TarotLadyLissa You would work one stitch in each st in each. making increases in the corners and decreases in the valleys.

  • Starting tomorrow morning I will begin this project I saw the pattern for the "lavender hills" with all the different shades of purples and will be trying to replicate those same colors with your videos I can't wait to try/finish this!! Thank you so mch for the tutorial of this pattern!

  • It´s so amazingblanket !!! Many thanks for this pattern. I´ll start to make it on Sunday.

  • Muy Bonita!! Felicidades :)

  • It is so beautiful, I am going to make it in those same colours Beth. Thank you for taking the time to show us how to make it ..

  • Love it Beth .Will look for the pattern.

  • Now that i've been crocheting for months....and I know these stitches, I am going to make one of these!!! I love your explanation of the blanket and how you did it....and i love the colors!

  • I did it! It is finished and looks great! Thanks for your help!

  • @lfontes5 Woo Hoo!

  • Ok. I will di that. Thank you.

  • I love it! I do think i did something wrong because mine is coming out diamond shaped, what did I do?

  • @lfontes5 You must not be working your beginnings & ends right watch that part of the video again.

  • Thank you so much for this series! I've always wanted to learn how to crochet & this series encouraged me to go ahead and try it! My first try & it looks fantastic! I used black, white & pink... Each with silver tinsel in the yarn! It took me exactly 1 month to finish it! Please keep the tutorial series coming! God Bless!

  • thank u so much for the series which helped me greatly. how much time did it take for u to complete this piece? and how many ball of yarn did u use for each color?

  • Beth--I just finished my granny ripple! Yay! Thank you so very much for sharing this pattern and helping us with your crochet-a-long. I am sure my single crochet edging doesn't look as good as yours, but I think the recipients (a young newlywed couple--a good friend's son) will forgive me. I wish I could post a picture but don't have the technology or know-how! I did it in navy, raspberry pink, and leaf green. I am so happy with how it turned out--all thanks to you! May you be blessed!

  • Beth, this is gorgeous! I love ripple patterns and the traditional granny square, and was thrilled to see them combined so beautifully. You are a superb teacher, and all the little tips you shared along the way were terrific! I especially loved the one about how to camouflage your final stitch when you completed the sc border--I've been crocheting for years and was never happy with the way mine looked at the end. I can't wait to start this pattern-time to yarn shop again! Blessings to you!

  • No problem. I can estimate my finished size based off my little practice piece. Thanks again for the series!

  • This was a great series of videos! Much appreciated. I made a little version with just 2 peaks & 8 rows while I watched.

I'm sure you stated out some point, but what was the finished size of your afghan?

    Thanks again!

  • @DawnHiggy I'm not sure what the size was! It's long gone to charity now. sorry.

  • Beautiful! Great job!!!

  • Thank you so much. You showed us all the steps and so simple instructions.. Small doubts are cleared instantly as if you are talking directly to your students. Thank you so much. May god bless you with lots of health and happiness.

    Shibani

  • thank you so so much I will send you A Pic. when I'm finish

you make it look very easy please make more videos

  • That is beautiful! And what a great color combination. One thing that I've found to

stabilize that beginning side of a blanket, is to do your starting chain with a hook

one size larger than what you'll be using for the blanket.

You do beautiful work on all of your projects.

  • Hi thank u for this video. how long did this afghan take u?

  • This is beautiful! How long did it take to make?

  • This is beautiful!!! How long did it take you to finish???

  • Beautiful !
