I lived there for over three years... believe me, I know what I'm talking about. It's a remarkably unfriendly city, unbelievably insular and small-minded.
I lived there in the time that the country had voted for the most right wing government in Europe since WWII; in a time when the city was plastered with posters featuring black people as gorillas, reading "Nigerians: drug dealers".
I've lived in half a dozen cities, and nowhere else have I found foreigners so proud of being foreigners.
@DominikTouring You're not listening, are you? I went to Vienna, if not completely open-minded, then overawed at going to one of the most beautiful and historically rich cities in the world. It doesn't take long there, however, to find out what the people are like. My advice to anyone visiting: meet the Americans there, the Hungarians, the Croats, the Serbs, the Italians, and the Turks (but then, I'm just generalising about these people being friendlier...).

It's complicated!! I left My country for America and I had to live in Austria for couple of months to complete the Migration stuff!! After We got the VISA we had to leave VIENNA (I wish it never happened) for U.S.A.!!!
Are you from Vienna Austria ? you know people come to America from a place like Austria and I don't understand why. When it is so beautiful in Vienna, its no easy to live in America and I'm an American.
No. I'm Not from Austria. I just went there to do the DHS stuff and move to the US!! I wish I could stay in Austria... I love the European life style!!! Here in America life is all about $ and business!!
