Sorry but Alucard's sight of badass is his red coat, while Anderson's glasses symbolise his. Alucard is back to fighting with the red coat and Anderson has destroyed his own specs.

@conoba . Helena's Nail is one of four nails that was used to pin Jesus' hands and feet to the cross. With the way the wording is used in the fan translations and just not paying attention, I think people forget or just don't know that there is more than one Helena's Nail.
The only spear I know of is the Lance of Longinus which was used by a Roman soldier to finally kill Jesus while he was being crucified.
@MrDarudin I actually have, the new manga by Kouta Hirano. Gave it a read some time ago and it was defintely easy to see Hirano's specific art style to it. Because the manga had only started recently I couldn't really give it any sort of criticism. It defintely has that Hellsing mood to it though so once its finished or close to finishing (if it hasn't already) again it's been a while since I've actually checked up on it, I'll give it another read.

@DHalex90731 Don't take my word for it, but there's a good chance that even if you found the name, you might not find track for the OVA 8 OST probably hasn't been released yet. I know that when the OVA 8 came out, a new track was released that contained the songs from the earlier OVAs that weren't released before.
Again, don't take my word perfectly, but you'll probably have to wait unless they release the track set which I just don't think they have yet.
Where did you find such a high quality version of this OVA? I've been looking everywhere for at least even a 720p OVA 8, and I find nothing but 480's, or the renderings are off for the HD ones I find. If you could possibly send me a link in my messages I would GREATLY appreciate it.

Had Seras not intervened - the unthinkable would become real and Alucard would truly have been killed.

@MultiKwolf No it hasn't. Hellsing OVA 8 was released on July 27th 2011, it hasn't been three months since then. It takes on average about 6 to 8 months for an OVA to be released, and that's assuming we don't have any problems.
OVA 9 will probably though not necessarily be out between December and January.
@kingarthas25 His arm did generate after he used the nail of Helena. While Anderson can regenerate normal bullet wounds he still can't take the impact from the Jackal. In the first Ova when he regenerates the shot to the head was because it came from the silver gun (I forgot the name of it).
@highvoltage138 Whatever the hell I wrote up in the info box, ignore. To take one of the most highly anticipated fights in Hellsing and half ass it like they did here is a sin to Hellsing itself. Compare to the manga version, this fight is easily IMO the worst fight out of all the ones we've seen in all 8 OVAs.
I was hoping we'd see the entire fight but at the same time I wasn't going to be too suprised if they ended up finishing it in OVA 9.

@sn54 This is, as far as the manga is concerned, my favorite fight in Hellsing. It's the only fight in the entire manga where not only is Alucard serious the entire time, it's the only fight where he almost loses. Not just the battle but the entire emotions in it as well.
Alucard breaking down in front of everyone and crying. Anderson's death as he speaks to Alucard as a friend and even indirectly tells him that he's more human than he thinks. IMO, the most emotional part in Hellsing.
detaching from the whole battle for a bit, this exchange is one of the most incredible things I've ever seen in a manga, an honest discussion about what makes a monster in between a genuinely badass final battle? Sign me up.

Unfortunately, it just went down hill from there. I thought the battle was good at first but it didn't take long for me to realize one thing...

In the manga they clash gun and blade, a massive explosion comes up, Alucards for six whole panel starts blasting the hell out of Anderson, trying to get to the nail. Anderson catches it, looks at the bullets, smirks, bends low, soars into the sky...it was great.
The anime...they added stuff...and yet it somehow still made it short. There was no fluidity at all, just...simple animation.

@Virgilthepagan The most anticipated battle in Hellsing, second perhaps only to Alucard vs Walter was basically rushed, ruined and couldn't even follow a few simple pages of the manga. It's not like the battle's long or anything. I can only hope that since the fight will continue in the beginning of OVA 9 they'll be willing to put more emphaiss of greater animation, fluidity and emotion into the fight.

@LuDimezofKush Walter freely joined the Nazi's under the bound that he could finally fight and kill Alucard. The Dok experimented on him to turn him into a vampire but the experiment itselfwas rushed. For some strange reason Walter apparently hates growing old and Alucard...something that was never at any point addressed in the manga.
it's just Walter gets up one day and says "Wow...I'm old. Being old sucks. I really hate that vampire, I think I'll be a Nazi now."

@LuDimezofKush OVA is completely different from the T.V. series and it has little ties to the OVA or manga itself. Walter doesn't hate Integra, in fact he was quite proud at having served her. He also really doesn't like Millenium either, he just needed them to transform him into a vampire.
All of it was done so that he could fight and beat Alucard because for whatever reason, he felt that he would become useless as he grew older and if he couldn't beat Alucard he could never go on.

@tinasepo I was honestly working on sone pesudo subs based on the manga, I had even finished them for part 1 awhile ago. It's just that it was taking so long to upload at the time. At some point if it isn't done already, someobdy will upload the subbed version of the battle. I'll just keep mine up so that people can have that easily accessible RAW version to download and use in their videos or what not.

I was under the impression the there was only a Lance of Longinus (the spear that pierced Christ's stomach), not a nail. But it's possible that A.K.As get mixed up in grandiosity.
@synchangel I at first though Hirano has mistakenly referred the objects as the same thing but upon closer inspection, I believe he was refering to the "Lance of Longinus", "Holy Grail" and "A Nail Of Helena" as seperate objects that were part of the lost relics in Rome, not that they were the same thing.
@aru05001 Now honestly I don't exactly have great knowledge on ancient Christian Roman artifacts but from what I know the spear (Lance of Longinus) was the object that finished off Jesus Christ while he was on the cross. Helena's Nail which was part of three other nails was crafted by artisans to pin Jesus' hands and feet. Now if I'm wrong (And I could very well be) how would one of the nails come into contact with the spear unless it was a later time?

@MultiKwolf No it hasn't. Hellsing OVA 8 was released on July 27th 2011, it hasn't been three months since then. It takes on average about 6 to 8 months for an OVA to be released, and that's assuming we don't have any problems.
OVA 9 will probably though not necessarily be out between December and January.

@kingarthas25 His arm did generate after he used the nail of Helena. While Anderson can regenerate normal bullet wounds he still can't take the impact from the Jackal. In the first Ova when he regenerates the shot to the head was because it came from the silver gun (I forgot the name of it).

@highvoltage138 Whatever the hell I wrote up in the info box, ignore. To take one of the most highly anticipated fights in Hellsing and half ass it like they did here is a sin to Hellsing itself. Compare to the manga version, this fight is easily IMO the worst fight out of all the ones we've seen in all 8 OVAs.
I was hoping we'd see the entire fight but at the same time I wasn't going to be too suprised if they ended up finishing it in OVA 9.

@sn54 This is, as far as the manga is concerned, my favorite fight in Hellsing. It's the only fight in the entire manga where not only is Alucard serious the entire time, it's the only fight where he almost loses. Not just the battle but the entire emotions in it as well.
Alucard breaking down in front of everyone and crying. Anderson's death as he speaks to Alucard as a friend and even indirectly tells him that he's more human than he thinks. IMO, the most emotional part in Hellsing.

@Virgilthepagan I was personally quite impressed with the way emotion and voices were put into Alucard and Anderson especially before Anderson finally rammed Helena's Nail into his heart. Unfortunately, it just went down hill from there. I thought the battle was good at first but it didn't take long for me to realize one thing...
...This fight sucks.
It was great when they took off each other's heads, the music, animation, everything was great but when they got to the next part it was just...

@Virgilthepagan ...Simple. Simple animation, simple movement, simple everything. In the manga they clash gun and blade, a massive explosion comes up, Alucards for six whole panel starts blasting the hell out of Anderson, trying to get to the nail. Anderson catches it, looks at the bullets, smirks, bends low, soars into the sky...it was great.
The anime...they added stuff...and yet it somehow still made it short. There was no fluidity at all, just...simple animation.

@Virgilthepagan The most anticipated battle in Hellsing, second perhaps only to Alucard vs Walter was basically rushed, ruined and couldn't even follow a few simple pages of the manga. It's not like the battle's long or anything. I can only hope that since the fight will continue in the beginning of OVA 9 they'll be willing to put more emphaiss of greater animation, fluidity and emotion into the fight.

@LuDimezofKush Walter freely joined the Nazi's under the bound that he could finally fight and kill Alucard. The Dok experimented on him to turn him into a vampire but the experiment itselfwas rushed. For some strange reason Walter apparently hates growing old and Alucard...something that was never at any point addressed in the manga.
it's just Walter gets up one day and says "Wow...I'm old. Being old sucks. I really hate that vampire, I think I'll be a Nazi now."

@LuDimezofKush OVA is completely different from the T.V. series and it has little ties to the OVA or manga itself. Walter doesn't hate Integra, in fact he was quite proud at having served her. He also really doesn't like Millenium either, he just needed them to transform him into a vampire.
All of it was done so that he could fight and beat Alucard because for whatever reason, he felt that he would become useless as he grew older and if he couldn't beat Alucard he could never go on.

@LuDimezofKush It's why I absolutely hate Dark Walter, his implication for doing anything makes absolutely no sense. Feeling old and useless? He was freaking taking down entire armies of the undead, obliterating hordes of vampires with simplistic movement and blasting a car down a Nazi/goul infested London. Feeling old and useless my ass!
Hating Alucard? He was getting along pretty damn well with him before.
Old Walter is one of my favorite characters, but Dark Walter...no.

@LuDimezofKush They're supposedly going to be using old manuscripts of Hirano's for the animated "The Dawn." I can only hope that more emphasis of explaination will be put into it. Because otherwise, Dark Walter will pretty much stand as my least favorite character in Hellsing and not that he's a bad character or anything. He just as a crappy plot around him.

@tinasepo I was honestly working on sone pesudo subs based on the manga, I had even finished them for part 1 awhile ago. It's just that it was taking so long to upload at the time. At some point if it isn't done already, someobdy will upload the subbed version of the battle. I'll just keep mine up so that people can have that easily accessible RAW version to download and use in their videos or what not.
It was just taking way too long to upload unfortunately.

@deadrise1000 No, but Alucard is suffering greatly from Anderson's attack. Nail of Helena Anderson is pretty much the strongest and most dangerous opponent Alucard has ever faced and right now, the Vampire King is getting screwed over.

I was under the impression the there was only a Lance of Longinus (the spear that pierced Christ's stomach), not a nail. But it's possible that A.K.As get mixed up in grandiosity.

@synchangel I at first though Hirano has mistakenly referred the objects as the same thing but upon closer inspection, I believe he was refering to the "Lance of Longinus", "Holy Grail" and "A Nail Of Helena" as seperate objects that were part of the lost relics in Rome, not that they were the same thing.

@aru05001 Now honestly I don't exactly have great knowledge on ancient Christian Roman artifacts but from what I know the spear (Lance of Longinus) was the object that finished off Jesus Christ while he was on the cross. Helena's Nail which was part of three other nails was crafted by artisans to pin Jesus' hands and feet. Now if I'm wrong (And I could very well be) how would one of the nails come into contact with the spear unless it was a later time?
Just sort of want clarification.

Erena no Seitei is means Holy Nails of Helena.
He just list out the Holy artifact that disappeared from Rome, The Holy Tunic, Holy Grail and The Longinus. Hence that's why you heard Longinus in his quote.
