  • @JordanClunn Why was my comment voted down? I wasn't telling him to quit. I was saying I'm quitting drumming after watching this, implying I'll never be anywhere near good as him. Do people know how to read?

  • damn

  • THATS MY NIGGA CAWWWLOOOSSSSS! ...I jam with him btw :)

  • Wow...the element of surprise! coooool

  • dang! beast mode

  • Dude! You rock!

  • why arent you in infinity bro?

  • you can see intence focus in his eyes towards the end. that was sick!

  • i love carlos (:

  • not fair...

  • ohmyfuckinggod

  • I've had the pleasure of getting to know Carlos over the past three years he's been a member of our ensemble (INFINITY Percussion). I also know/work with/admire his excellent teacher Ben Wiseman (hey Ben!), and his lovely parents. He also has a great grounding seeing as he was introduced to drums by the great Jose "Pepe" Jimenez (Santa Fe & Fat City Horns band member as well as show drummer), and is a heck of a good kid that continues to inspire me to completely rethink my approach to the kit.

  • carlos was a good friend of mine during the summer of 2007 with teal sound. i've never expected anything less than excellence from him, no one should.

    this is proof

  • lmao no way with the stick thing at the end!!wow guys watch to the end!

  • owning me bro. that was nice

  • More cowbell!!!!!! Haha just kidding carlos

  • holy crap.

  • I taught him how to play the intro to "Ticks and Leaches" by Tool. He then proceded to teach me this 15/16 + 1/4 beat he made up (at age 11!).

    x--x--x-xx--x-x x-x-(repeat)

    RLRLRLRLRLRLRLR RLRL (repeat)

    x = accent, - = ghost

I wonder if he remembers that. At any rate, congrats, Carlos!

  • I knew this kid would resurface. I had the pleasure of teaching him (learning from him, really) at the School of Music and Performing Arts at First Baptist Church in Ocala. I was supposed to be teaching beginners only. Carlos was way out of my league. I'm glad to see he's gotten hooked up with Ben, who is the only serious choice in Ocala (to my knowledge). I think he was 11 when I had him - he had already performed on stage with his mother, who is a singer. He wanted me to teach him double-bass.

  • that was awesome

  • D: I'm wide-mouthed! Geez, I knew Carlos was epic, but...woah...

  • damn, the juggling is amazing. I'm thinking that for the show next year

  • geez, carlos is amazing

  • NICE MAN! can you play salsa?
