  • Ummm...

A fourth valve doesn't make it a euphonium. This one is a euphonium, but not because of the fourth valve. There are four valve baritones, and up to 5 valve euphoniums. A euphonium is simply a larger baritone with a conical bore giving it a more bassy warm sound.

  • Daj chłopie sobie siana

  • When you breathe, open up your throat and take in air without noise. You sound great, but the breathing takes out all the beauty!

  • You have outstanding tone, youre even compensating for having all valves pressed for more partials, youre a very good player.....................NAAAATTTTTTTT

  • 4/5,I would say

  • Holy Crap!! No valves?? I could not have dont that! Bravo

  • whaaaaat?

  • *clap* *clap* *clap* that was pretty good. i dont think i could play that well without using my valves!

  • what r all u guys thinking? try doing that yourself its very easy. its just like with open valves you can play do sol do mi sol do etc. with evry combination its the same.

  • lawl niiiice. Is playing with all the valves down kinda like playing through your mouthpiece? or is it harder?

  • support your sound a little more :P

  • I love this:P

  • no valves ? twat head

  • you obviously dont understand how hard it is to play that accurate with no valves?

  • rbflint so wat if its a french horn part for my grade 6 piece im playig something from a tromboone solos book.

  • why didnt you use the valves?

  • wow, really good, ignore all the haters, i don't think half of them either play the euph or realize how hard it is to play without valves...

  • True.

It's hard to play with out valves.

  • its hard to slur without valves. tounging is easy, just thing of tounging a girl and you'll get better at it...

  • it IS hard to play without valves....but that doesnt mean they arn't needed

i think it would have sounded clearer with valve use

  • of course it would have...thats the whole reason it has valves i think the whole point of the video was to play it WITHOUT them O.o

  • well he should have stated that, cause the ragular video title makes us think this is his best lol

  • no disrespect, but that was kind of stupid

  • wtf?

  • That was stupid.

  • Nice to hear something played without using the valves

  • lol no offence but that sounded bad

  • why the hell are you playing a french horn piece on euphonium?

  • o3muskat33r doesn't know what he is talking about it has to do with the tubing, euphoniums are conical while baritones are cylindrical.

  • ugh why does everyone make the difference between baritone and euphonium so complex?! The only major difference is that baritone is bell-front, euphonium is upright =|

  • no its not!

  • theres bell front euphoniums and bell up baritones.

  • O.k.. let me settle this once and for all... the instrument that muskat is referring to is a bell-front euphonium since it is still conical.. so it is not a baritone.. this a very very common misconception in america.. a Baritone is common in british brass bands and has a cylindrical bore. Oh, and this does have a 4rth valve, it is just a professional level instrument, so the 4rth valve is down on the side.

  • not a misconception in america...just in tards.

  • And btw, the difference between a euphonium and a baritone is the way the tubing is shaped. The Euphonium has a wider bore which gives it a darker, unique tone, and the baritones tubing stays the same size until it reachs the bell, giving it a sharper trombone-like sound.

  • Before you even begin to make a video, tune the instrument! A euphonium with all three valves down is extremely out of tune, and idk if it was the pickup of the camera, or you, but it sounds wierd in the higher registers...

  • this video is a joke... it has 4 valves down and has foamed plastic stuffed to bell ;)

  • @ajb32690

hey~ the player used 4 valves to play all the notes~

That is very very difficult to tune all the notes~

Actually his tuning is quite well =]

  • its a baritone. Euphoniums have a 4th valve correct? I dont remember. Im a hornist... heheh.

  • it doesnt matter how many valves it has to be a euphonium it can have from 3-6

  • it's an euphonium. you dont see the 4th valve..

  • it's not "an" euphonium it's a because of the hard eu :-)

  • @1337evan The euphonium can have 3 valves, the difference is the in bore bell size and valves sizes

  • @1337evan You're a former baritone/euphonium player who now plays french horn??

  • @1337evan no youre false a Euphonium hasn´t a curve in the funnel.

  • lol, i had to do that for grade 6, good effort though...

  • 6th grade or grade 6 euph

  • it sounds like ur using a horn mouthpiece

  • HAHAHA that was awesome

    done all in partials

    lmao

  • are you grade 8. I like the. Carry on your dream!

  • im guessing you play french horn and not euphonium?

  • actually it sounds like ur playing a baritone horn, try a less hard brassy sound
