  • this android is already long time ago... but it still awesome....

  • i see niga higa

  • I tried to google the release date , but didn;t get an answer... just this video :/

So what's the release date if anyone knows?

  • @ASDREX458 Honeycomb's been out for a really long time. It's actually obsolete now because it's been replaced with Ice Cream Sandwich

  • 0:20- Death Ray hardware rev 2.0

    lol

  • Fcnmysvsh

  • Granted, Honeycomb appears to have the makings of a powerful mobile operating system, it just seems to lack "beauty". The video wall at 0:57 drops tiles as they reach the edge of the screen, the navigation buttons in the bottom left of the browser 0:33 are (IMO) ugly, the design and layout appears sterile and mathematical. I don't mind sacrificing a little customisation if it means I can have something that runs as intuitively and beautifully as iOS generally does.

  • @triskaye Not until Apple stops suing the competition for doing anything similar to what they did will we get another smooth mobile OS like iOS.

If Apple and Google would put aside their differences, it'd be a perfect world with the perfect OS. No more limitations imposed on the developers due to patents and such. All these patents and licensing limit what either OS can do; it's getting annoying.

  • @Intrdmnsion Im sure if you came up with a great product Idea you would be pissed if someone copied.

  • @bass2021 I would be. An Apple has every right to destroy Android. All I was getting at was that if the two would fuse (in a perfect world), it'd be a perfect OS.

  • @Intrdmnsion Destroy? O.o

  • This theory that the iphone has a better touch response because it utilizes all the cpu power to the touch screen interface once touched is not true. Tested over and over and all apps still function well while touching the screen. The home page on many large sites, still kept on loading while finger kept on screen. Hopefully google will fix this issue, so we can start enjoying Android.

  • @bass2021 I just tested it on my iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, and iPhone 3GS, as well as my iPad 2. ALL of them stop loading the web page until I lift my finger up. It loads it in the background, but does NOT display it until you lift it, thus eliminating all lag.

There's nothing to argue about. It doesn't stop EVERYTHING (such as in apps), but it DOES dedicate most of its CPU to the screen itself. It's fact. It's in the coding.

  • @bass2021 Also, third-party apps are optimized for the device. When you open up a, say, a menu in a game, the developer optimizes it to make SURE that the screen scrolls fine.

Google CANNOT fix the issue as Android is designed like a PC OS. iOS isn't a PC OS and was specifically designed for the "smoothness" we all love. Why are we still arguing about this?

  • i love you google android.....

  • Song name please :D

  • Now, what we need is android running on 3310.

Then it will be the best phone ever.

  • iOS smooth, Android is slow, lol. iOS has suuch limited capabilities, you cannot do anything. Text, no text, call, no call. It even has 1 button for fuck sakes, what can you possibly do with that? If android was as simple as ios, it would fly as well, well...its still fucking fast. iOS is good but when i buy a smartphone for 700, i dont have fucking time to sit, put ssh and jailbreak. Its a boring ass OS, thats why i sold my iPhone 4.

  • I have the asus transformer prime 4.0.3. ice. its super smooth irk what u guys are talking about. just the unsported android devices aren't. Asus tablets are they actually put updates out

  • @hydroxoniumionplus

    IPhone crap crap crap crap

    Android best best best best

  • @biggerben2010 Not really, you can bitch and moan about it all you want but just accept the fact that iPhone is a'lot faster than Android, it's just horribly overpriced.

  • iOS рулит и не*бёт

  • android stutter stutter stutter

    ios smooth smooth smooth

  • This advert sounds cool but is there anything new?

  • As they say, whatever works.

  • its just like vista ics is better

  • @1998JackRoberts Most of the design elements from ICS are from Honeycomb.

  • @1998JackRoberts Of course ICS is better. 2.3 was better than 2.2 which was better than 2.1. Your point? :P

  • Android ftw

  • Using Yotube on Ipad2.... sux.

Using Yotube on Android Tablet ... ofc it's a win! It has it's own version.

    Google<3

  • android is the best

  • I was using the new lenovo Tablet 1838 running Honeycomb, the response is descent but its nothing compared to apple, I love android but this is a big let down, they are so many versions into this and this should have been fixed by now. The Honeycomb on the Lenovo worked "fine" but its no match for apples crisp movements. Just destroys the whole OS and they need to address this.

  • If the developers from Android can answer this simple question, please. Why cant you get the same touch response Apple is producing. You are well aware of the problem. Is the code that hard to right? It cant be a hardware issue so all I can think of is that its a software handicap. But apple had this code 5 years ago and you guys are still struggling, whats up?

  • @bass2021 the touch response on my htc incredible s works fine, maybe you where using an older android phone?

  • Hey guys i am new at making videos but i love making them...plz visit my channel and watch my videos. its all about android. i have just started and need some support. plz .

Ur support will motivate me improve my videos so plz thumbs up so others can also see.

If you can like arrow in knee comments plz like this too ...:p

  • If they can fix this touch and drag issue this would be an awesome OS. One game to test the response time is any Airhockey game, that requires you to move the puck around with your finger. With IOS the puck doesnt leave your finger, HC its an inch away with a delay to catch up. I would love to use HC and newer products but that choppiness annoys me and makes it feel like a cheap chinese knock off of some sort.

  • Why cant they master the touch response down as Apple, the machine sucks with a choppy feel while dragging and moving around. Thats the only downfall to Android. There isnt an ipad that goes unsold on ebay and hardly any price depreciation. I got the new lenovo tablet and it dropped 40% in a week had to return it after using Honeycomb. All the Apps there are on my Ipad on much higher quality machine. My ipad costs the same as I got it 6 months ago. Thats for a reason.

  • Are you satisfied with your honeycomb?

I have a Dell Streak 7, with honeycomb. It looks good, I have to admit, but doesn't work as proper as my sister's streak 7 with an older OS. Why is that?

My biggest problem that she could install iGO on her tablet and works properly, but on mine it doesn't. I just don't get why is that... The other problems might be because of the tablet itself, not the OS, so I wouldn't mention those.

  • @demdave24 I have an other question. I have just seen a video about a guy starting his streak 7 device (honeycombed), and I noticed that after the dell logo appearing he had the android logo as well. I don't have that, just a dell logo. Does it mean anything? I bought my streak7 with honeycomb, could it be a wrong one that I have?

  • @trufiend138 iPad is shit compared to this. So iPad is not better. Apple fag

  • Excellent, very good, magnificent android. That will update more!

  • So well omg !

  • ipad is still better

  • Nice

  • I got adiction to this!! I just come here to watch the video and listen the music

  • @UploaderTheFree i find the app store to be the same as apple, you have some free and some are licensed. Only difference with the Apple is you have a Jailbreak and you can get all the Licensed for free something you cant do with the android not that Im condoning this but your statement of "all free" is false.

  • @bass2021 you can download apk files to your device without doing anything to your phone and jailbreaking causes serious risks

  • @diffan666 I have no problems using android, apps are the same in each store, same companies are selling the same apps to both. Its the sluggishness of the touch response that is really annoying, it may not be bad to some but when your used to the iphones touch response it will be hard to accept the Androids.

  • @bass2021 i kinda agree but you can mod the screen to make it more responsive its not that tricky to do and i have no idea why the manufacturers dont do it D:

  • @bass2021 Android OS runs differently from iOS.

iOS was designed to stop ALL processes when there is something on the touch screen (ex. your finger). It basically dedicates all of the CPU to the touch screen when you're touching it, while Android chose to keep processes running instead of pausing them.

Go load an intensive web page on iOS. It may not be laggy, but you'll see that the screen literally "freezes" when you're scrolling through and iOS will load everything once you lift your finger

  • @Intrdmnsion Doesnt matter, still had sex!

  • @pepearcano What? o.o

  • @Intrdmnsion There is 1ghz of processing power to go around, No excuse for this from a company as big as Google. I never had a problem loading pages and if that was the case then these high processing games wouldnt work once you touch the screen. Theory dont fly man. Google is working to fix this for a reason.

  • @bass2021 Processing power doesn't play a role here. If Google had designed it like iOS, touchscreen responses would be silky smooth even with a 412 Mhz CPU (which the original iPhone had).

I love Android, don't get me wrong. But what I've realized is that Android was rushed at the beginning to rival iOS. That was where Google made a huge mistake, and now the touchscreen and stability issues are the consequences we suffer.

  • @Intrdmnsion I couldnt agree with you more, I was replying to intrdmnsion who has a theory that once you touch the screen on IOS it reserves all the processing power to the touch interface. My old 3gs was as smooth as the 4s, this is a software issue and it must be a complicated code that google cant correct or get right. I cant believe for one minute they are not aware of it, they simply cant fix the problem.

  • @bass2021 I am intrdmnsion, lol. I replied to your reply.

It's not a theory. It's the coding. I know how iOS and Android work, and have even made some test apps in my free time for both OS's. I can confirm that iOS does, in fact, pause when you put your finger on the screen. Granted, it doesn't stop EVERYTHING it's doing, but it stops everything intensive (such as rendering a web page).

Android was designed like a standard PC OS; UI is handled on the main thread of the CPU with... (read on)

  • @Intrdmnsion Bottom line is if a 2.5 years old 3gs has no problems with the touch interface then the new Android shouldnt in 2012.

  • @bass2021 Hell, if the original iPhone handled smooth Internet browsing, so should Android, especially with ICS. It just doesn't.

It's never going to change because Android is based off Linux, which is a PC OS. And PC OS's don't put priority on animations over rendering. So it will never be as smooth as iOS, lol.

  • @Intrdmnsion Glad we both agree then lol it sucks because I like android, had the thinkpad tablet and had to get rid of it because of the touch response, got a 4s and the damn thing is a modern marvel. Its a true device worth every penny, and I know nothing about apple or careless for their other products, but the iphone is an amazing piece.

  • @Intrdmnsion "In any case, Android OS clearly has lag issues–what’s Google doing about it? Munn says fixing the problem would require a rewrite involving every app in the Android Market, that there’d need to be a “legacy support mode” for older apps and that work on other Android features could be compromised by the focus on the rewrite “fix.” While that may sound overwhelming and unlikely, Munn thinks (okay, hopes) it could happen by the time Google’s ready to release Android 5.0"

  • @bass2021 normal priority. This results in the OS rendering the, say, HTML on a webpage AND animating the screen to your finger movements at the same time. It cares about the person scrolling as much as it cares about loading and rendering the page, whereas in iOS, it cares about your scrolling more than loading and rendering the page, resulting in that silky-smooth experience.

This is why dual-core processors are important for Android. It needs it because it was designed like a PC OS.

  • @Intrdmnsion

    @bass2021

You guys search on the wrong front.

It's a fact that Android is a PC OS, while IOS just has been made for som Apple Product. It's a jailed OS with limited usability, so there is much CPU power saved, not taking care of any security in there....

Linux is built for allowing 3rd party software, so there have to work more virtual devices/drivers (and thus more interrupts) , which costs more CPU powers.

  • @olynxmano I've already said that a couple of comments before where @bass2021 and I were having a conversation.

Honestly, Google should have spent more time developing Android rather than rushing it to compete with Apple. Of course, that couldn't happen, and Android wouldn't be where it is now if it had happened, but one can't help with think, "What if..?"

  • @Intrdmnsion Ok I just loaded up a pretty busy page with 16 photos on it the site was 4.5 mb on the homepage, once I got to the page while it was still all white and loading I ensured my finger does not leave the screen, what happens? All the photos loaded up instantly. Please try it and tell me if you get the same results.

  • @bass2021 Go to an intensive site such as lensoftruth( dot ) com. Put your finger on the screen before it's finished loading. It'll stop. Light sites such as Google are loaded regardless as it doesn't require much processing power to render the site (as there are few stuff on it).

iOS loads everything it can without interfering with the touch screen. Otherwise, it'll stop it and hold off until you lift your finger.

  • @bass2021 Or, better yet, type in ANY site into the URL bar and hit "Go". Hold your finger there immediately after you hit "Go". Watch. You can see the little loading circle at the top-left corner of the screen, but other than that, the actual screen does not change/render anything.

  • @Intrdmnsion

My theory is that IOS doesn't really do Multitasking. I'ts some kind of IRQ triggered process handling. Linux could do this aswell... but such a "technique" needs the OS to be strongly limited to the user for security's sake.

  • @Intrdmnsion How could android... do something to stop the java virtual machine? when you're touching it? that would help ALL the android lag, like slicing on the touchscreen D:

  • @kawatzaki

Smells like, IOS isn't really doing Multitasking. It seems to handle "big interrupt routines" instead.

You'd only need to set the interrupt for the user interface higher than the "Multitasking" , and leave the Interrupt fast enough. Anything in "buffer" will not be disturbed, but the user will always see things running fluent then.

  • ANYBODY KNOWS THE SONG'S NAME?

  • whats better this or iOS 5?

  • @quest8899 This is better

  • @quest8899 dunno yet..

  • @quest8899 Honeycomb is for Tablets. Lol your a noob

  • Does anyone know if this can run regular exe files

  • @FR8T3R wtf? no, you can not run exe files on android.. ^^

  • @FR8T3R get a Windows computer. Android is NOT Windows. It uses a different format for it's executables. Find an Android version of your app, your phone will thank you for getting rid of Wincrap ;-)

  • Yea sure u can get viruses on ur Android device if u don't know what the he'll ur doing. That's why ppl that aren't n the know need to stick to ur ios. If u know how to work a computer and do more advanced things then Android is the right choice for you. Plain and simple. IOS - very user friendly leaving the overall experience very black and white. Android - have it ur way!

  • @recoil2009 You can get viruses on ANY OS, including iOS. In Android, in order to get viruses, you need to do so intentionally (i.e. enable "Unknown Sources" in your Applications settings, which is disabled by default, and it gives a warning when you try to enable it). Basic rules of security: Avoid administrator as much as possible, NEVER trust software from unknown sources, and only trust software if the code is available for public reading (others can confirm it for you if you can't read it).

  • @recoil2009 <3

  • That music is funky

  • Just awsome.

  • cool video Android 3.0, Honeycomb, but we need more specification...more&more, it's never enough :-)

  • @downloadandroids In case you haven't noticed - Honeycomb has already been already released...?

  • @janeswurld I didn't say it was laggy and you need to get a new android phone if you have a problem with your phone.

  • Android = Ying

    Apple = Yang

Both live in peace and harmony

  • It was amazing video on Android 3.0. Great to see the application regarding the Android. Android works great at all.

  • i cannot seem to be able to highlight the file and bring up a delete option at the same time. swipe,,,keep finger on,,,options, nothing

  • Thanks for the reply shockwave2291...as an eg, if you download this "Android 3.1 preview" onto your p.c. using say realplayer, it will store it as a .flv file and if you move the file using bluetooth from p.c. to your Android phone or your Android tab say your new Galaxy tab 10.1 running Android 3 Honeycomb, the flash player 10.1 on your phone (or android tab) will play it ok: ok now you try and delete the file off the tab or phone !!! without deleting ALL files on the external storage device.

  • @cajuncatdude Enough with the conspiracy bullshit go fuck off fanboy of Apple/Microsoft obviously you don't see a great innovative company when there's once right in front of you.

  • fuck iphone and ios, tumbs up for android :D

  • Faggots get outta here.

  • Laaaaaag!!

  • iphone4s

  • I have a question: If you load a file onto a honeycomb device like say an .flv file, please can someone tell me how you delete it off the the device?

  • @justwonnasay Depends on what the file is. Is it a video or music file? Or a document? flv files can be supposedly just deleted off the device itself but only if your tablet has an app that can view the file. If not, try connecting with your computer and find the file directly (your tablet should show up like a external storage device) hope this helps!

  • Good bye Microsoft!! The next generation of computing is here!

  • WOW.

  • ANDROID AWESOME.......... androiddevelopers i have a question i have a kyocera echo and my version is 2.3.4 when is the next update please respond back ;)

  • Thums up if you've never gotten a virus on your Android... :P @janeswurld

  • i used to only use ios and love only that, but i gave android a try and its amazing!! <3

  • @janeswurld thumbs up that the android has flash that the iphones doesn't have, Apple fag.

  • @biggerben2010 to hell with lagginess, glitchy keyboards, short battery life, unnecessary large and easily break in your pocket screens. did i mention a shitty market? ive dropped my iphone countless times, my sister dropped his htc once and it cracks down the middle xD piece of shit phone is what i say

  • TTHUMBS UP IF YOUVE NEVER GOTTEN A VIRUS ON YOUR IPHONE!! >:)

  • @janeswurld iPhones don't get viruses, as you don't actually use them as a smartphone is meant to be used. Fuck iPhone, Android is much better.

  • Check out this website for an upcoming free web app "avalancheapps.wordpress. com"

  • These effects are so Creative!!

  • Check out: goo.gl\8ONjl if you want iPad 2.

  • I want Microsoft to be more fuck users catfish with their hangers-on! ... Victory at GOOGLE, Linux and Android .....

  • @Youpartyte your a retard too. Have you heard of hardware accleration. I think not. Android 3.0 has it. This is not animation, its real.

  • is there somethign like installous for android, like downloading hacked paid apps..is rooting needed to do this,

  • @ancdavis123 you suck Tim cook dick. Apple fag. Look at this video, its smooth, retard.

  • @biggerben2010 unfortunately sometimes, videos like these can be made out of pure animation.

  • Andoid sucks, glitchy and laggy, the only good android phone is the samsung galaxy s2

  • @ancdavis123 go play around with your iToy

  • Tron anyone

  • @TheJasperKitty apple fangirl, shut the fuck up bitch. All you do is talk shit. Go and fuck yourself you virgin slut.

  • Amen to that!!

  • I think android is better than iphone because IPHONE is not alot customization...

On android your able to even put a HOLE new software..
