@glgnda123 This was an internal project at the Engineering Centre and the cars were built to our own spec. We do work with schools on the F1 in Schools project but this was not a part of that work.
@ldddfd1899 Possibly not the designs shown in the video however we have hand made cars in the past and they were very competitive against the machined cars. Most of the performance comes from the weight a small amount from the friction (or lack of) from the wheels and the last few 1/100ths of a second comes from the aerodynamics!
@ldddfd1899 That is our 3D Flatbed Router. This is a very early video where we made the car in two (or three depending on the design) stages. We can also use a rotary axis to machine the whole car in one process.

Nice we are doing this in our Engineering Technology class. Once were done we'll be able to race em. Nice video btw!
