I thought about it, but since it's a realtime clip I decided to show it as-is... would be easy enough for someone to speed it up in post prod but then it would be a little short! XD

yeah you should do a few hours of highcloud/cirrus timelapse

I've got lots in my archives (burried way back in the 1000+ uplooads on this channel) but I'm due to make some more. Summers here are so dry and clear - there's no clouds at all most of the time. Hopefully we'll get some more action now that the atmosphere is cooler and more moist :-)

One of my favorite resources is the US Water Vapor Satellite loop (on the Weather Channel's website) - it currently shows a bunch of moisture coming down the west coast. The surface winds have picked up here too, so I was wondering if a front was passing through. Oddly, the forecast says clear and sunny even though some interesting formations came through about sunset...

yeah the sun was setting on some wierd clouds and they were like orange for 20 min
