I really need to learn how to taper the back of my head. The lady that has been cutting my hair for years (over 15!) still can't get it right! She doesn't do it evenly. You would think as long as she has been a barber, that she would have mastered it---but no!

You should do what I do and look thru the handmirror and use the wall mirror to see the back of your head. It makes it easier for me..

DaBartist, will i be able to fade and line up with just a Andis T-outliner(no attachments)? If not do you recommend anything else.I am trying to save money by cutting my own hair.

@josephhuyle..you can go with the grain with any kind of hair..depndin on how their curl pattern is,it might be hight and low in spots..going against the grain is always the best way to get the hair even,but everybody doesnt like goihn agsint the grain..i like my hair with the grain,but i cut my own hair so it doesnt matter..goin with the grain,juss be careful and watch the swirls in ppl hair,especially with straight hair
