for years??back in the day ford's big blocks would put out well over 400 ft-lbs of torque and ford's c6 tranny is a 4 spd and ford guys know that it is virtually indestructible. seriously? 6 spd? nice job toyota but this isn't a fucking car it's supposed to be a truck.

@thewhofan99 its the 21st century.. trucks have 18 speeds and 6 speeds.. the problem is.. the configuration of their tranny.. its setup more like a sports car.. even in tow haul mode.. the super duty/ram/GM have it more like an 18 wheeler where it sticks to lower gears when going up hill and shifts to higher gears when towing light loads

Toyotas have the highest Domestic content. If you buy a british Toyota, it would be made in Britian, ect. But GM and Dodge look to Mexico and Canada for employees, and Ford turns to Mexico.

That award doesn't mean dick, all the makes take turns and MotorTrend only gives it out to the truck that has made the biggest change, ie: improvement. Remember when the Ram came out with the Semi-truck inspired front quarter panels and hood?  Tundra ventured into the big boy territory of the 5.7L V8 and true full sized body, therefore qualifing for the most change.
