I got this "tendinitis " form taking a drug called ciprofloxcin, as well as extreme pain in my big toe and my thumb. Muscle aches and chest pain. Is there any ways to be rid of this? Please help me! Anyone my life depends on it
A really good way to ice is to put ice into a zip-lock bag. Wear two socks and then put the ice pack in between the socks. Take the ice off if you feel pain because if it gets too cold you could damage your tendon.
Also avoid heat. Don't take pain medication especially pain killers because you could become ignorant of your injury and begin walking around freely.
I recommend doing the exercises/stretching and then immediately icing. That really hits the spot.
Do not run or walk or you could make this a chronic problem (even up to 3 years or more to heal). Get some active release done and ultrasound/laser treatment also helps a lot.
The thing that helped me with a tear was getting a foam roll (cylinder) and gliding the calf across it while putting my weight on the calf (hold yourself up with hands).
Thank you for this video...I'm starting these exercises today. Do you recommend doing them every day? I am a long distance runner and came down with my first case of this AT crap a couple of weeks ago. I've stopped running but it doesn't seem to be getting a whole lot better with rest. I went to rehab for two weeks and the stim, ultrasound, massage seemed to help, but just barely.
thank you so much, this has helped me greatly. I have had this pain for 2 years now. No tear or swelling, just pain like one or two days after running or basketball.
