I was questing in Eastern Plaguelands, I walked into a deserted house to collect something for a quest, and this started playing. The music made me... Uncomfortable. It made me want to just get out of there. So I did. Very quickly.
Sure, the undead may hate the Scourge and Arthas more than all the other races combined, and they were falsely blamed at the wrathgate because of Putress, but I still don't trust them. I mean, they first joined the Horde out of sheer convenience, a chance to get what they wanted, and now they are using the Lich King's old servants to do their bidding? There is a reason they start out neutral with the other horde races.
@Whodatfootball Nah, I think they always have done that. They do start out friendly with the blood elves though, and can also use a teleport thingy to travel between Undercity and Silvermoon. So they seem to be better friends with the Belfs than with the rest of the horde.
Death....ain't so bad. Don't need to sleep,eat or drink. I can live forever until someone or beast kills me. i can practically LIVE underwater. I can now complete any task without feeling tired. Things that would usually smell horrible to others smells like roses to me. Yes my looks are nothing like they use to be but without sleep i can keep up with me hygiene a lot better now! I don't sweat at all! My flesh my be rotting an my teeth a little bent an discolored BUT i smell like a rose garden!

As one of the Forsaken... I can tell you what this means... Having departed the world of the living to become one of the undead to me, isn't really a curse... I never had much going anyway... Oh, and rotting flesh... That's just one of the perks ;) This song simply transports you into the darker mindset of the undead... All of these things were disturbing, but anymore... We've got bigger things to worry about... My past life... Means nothing now...This song is comfort for those without...
i liked the old tirisfal glades :,( . i realy miss it and hate the changes they have made.. in norhterend the forsaken had their own little construction style and that was just cool but the new kinda arcitecture and style that is now in brill is kinda stupid. when i first tryed undead i thought brill was a scary place. now it aint scary anymore. and when i look back to it it was how things looked that made everything so fun for me :D so i think its sad :,( it realy is.. the tavern. everything.

I think when you create a forsaken character you should be able to choose from a "human form" or a "high elf form" since they only look like humans... Would it be correct to say that perhaps could even be a "dwarven form"?
@Hbk9596 If there were High Elves or Dwarves in Lordaeron it was only a handful, nothing substantial. High Elves wouldn't have come from Lordaeron, they would have come from Quel'Thalas. Dwarves aren't considered true Forsaken according to lore, if you want to get technical lol

There were two sects of the Scourge the San'layan:blood elves and the regular scourge forces. Go play Warcraft 3 both Reign of Chaos and Frozen throne you will learn a lot. Also go play WoW the quests talk about it as well.

How the forsaken were able to obtain free will was that when the Lich king:Ner'zhul thrust Frostmourne through the frozen throne it opened up a hole allowing his power to escape.

Thanks for uploading! I hear these a lot in abandoned, run-down houses in WoW (with music looping enabled), and I love them. I often end up just sitting in the building so I can hear them. I especially love the one at 5:05
I love everythign abotu the Undead/Forsaken race. Especially the story behind them. They don't care about anyone, including themselves. They just want to kill everything. They don't even really care about the horde as a whole. And all this music is amazing I love this one especially.

As I see it, these songs represents something that Forsaken were: they were Night Elves. It shows how they remember those time with sorrow, knowing what they were once and what they are now.
rofl. Mate they were humans, but they were made undead because of the Lordaeron plague that the Lich King caused. Lordaeron was the peak of the human kingdom, until the late king terenas menethil was slain by his own corrupt son, arthas.
The song isnt mysterious. It show's how miserable and wretched the Forsaken are. Imagine one day seeing healthy flesh on your hands, knowing your family loves you, and the next seeing the rotten cadaver that is you, and experiences your still-living family sream and run from you; You are nothing but a monster. A thing. A putrid, rotting, sick monstrosity. And you have to bear that curse. THAT is what these songs mean.
@Listenintostories well put the forsaken dont care about anyone and really don't care much for the horde at all.. I mean the only reason they are allied is the goal of destroying the scourge but i'm sure all of their crazy apothecarys are thinking up ways of destroying everyone and everything...

The only ones in the horde i'd call evil are goblins and maybe blood elves and undead, depending on definition... Orcs, Tauren and Trolls are like the most peaceful in Azeroth... except Gnomes maybe =P
Blood Elves aren't evil. The Sunwell is reactivated, so they don't use demonic magic anymore and the Blood Knights believe in the Holy Light once again and don't capture a Naaru anymore.
They will always have those green eyes because of the corruption, like the orcs still have their green skin color.
But since the Sunwell is reactivated, they no longer need a demonic source of magic to feed their hunger for magic.
In addition, Chris Metzen confirmed that the Blood Elves will go "back to their roots". (Belive in the Holy Light, Use of the Sunwell as a source of magic, etc.)
The horde was only evil when ner'zhul or gul'dan were its leaders. Even then, a good part of the horde wasnt evil. And before the horde the orcs were good
they used to live in peace with the dreaneis untill the burning legion commanded the horde to war then they figured out a portal from dreanor to azeroth and ner'zhul was commanded by kil'jaiden who destroied him so if this didnt happen and sargeras wasnt a bitch theyde peace and yes horde is good garrosh wants to war bettwen the alliance and horde
*sigh* before wow alliance was good and horde was evil because thats the way things were...during thralls time things started to change and thrall was an orc the was honorable not judging people by their race but by honor. King varian on the other hand is more like garrosh but at the same time he isnt all that bad because he wants help his people..how ever he isnt the greatest leader because he lets his emotions get to him. During wow both factions do not understand each other
No, Varian is doing the right thing, there can't be peace between the horde and the alliance.. look at undercity, they're taking humans captive to make abominations out of them. Alliance also does bad things to the horde and it keeps escalating
I know, does it feel like a bit of a cheat to anyone else what they are doing with the Worgen and all? The Worgen plotline and atmosphere is going to be annoyingly similair to the Forsaken's and it's just going to feel like a major thunder stealer. I know their architecture is a BIT different (their cities and towns are more Victorian gothic) but it seems like there is going to be a major race and zone overlap.
The forsaken are not exclusively ex-human, theres quite a large mix of high elf in there as well, even trolls and orcs (Although there are no game models that hint to this, you have to check through the time line.)
Why...WHY!!! Why did they get rid of these amazing songs!?!?
Now I have to go all the way to the middle of a stupid level 30 instance to hear the old brill music... and that version doesn't even have the interesting beginning.

i think the horde are like the good, except for maybe the undead. the draeni dude destroyed human city and attmeptd to destrroy that giant elf tree. orcs seem like the good guys to me
The humans hate the orcs cause the orcs attacked them after they entered azeroth, tho the burning legion was controlling them. Imo the orcs are way more understanding and kind then the humans
some of the horde have awesome tavern songs, this one for example is pretty wicked and i hate undead lol but the alliance ones bring out a more of a tavern sound to play then the horde ones do :P
neither the alliance or horde are evil, the burning legion are evil, the horde and alliance just have different point of views about everything and fight each other
yea like nabbing at the idea that humans hate what they dont know theve done that with EVERY horde race many of the undead say how much they hate the humans for persecuting them for being unholy and many other cases of every race being treated the same except for the BEs

@Hbk9596 the Forsaken players play as, are the old inhabitants of Lordaeron. Lordaeron was a human kingdom, thus the undead playable are human.

The song isnt mysterious. It show's how miserable and wretched the Forsaken are. Imagine one day seeing healthy flesh on your hands, knowing your family loves you, and the next seeing the rotten cadaver that is you, and experiences your still-living family sream and run from you; You are nothing but a monster. A thing. A putrid, rotting, sick monstrosity. And you have to bear that curse. THAT is what these songs mean.

They are nothing but "undead humans". ^^
Ah yes... and they are a bit mysteric. Just fear put them togheter as Forsakens.

The only ones in the horde i'd call evil are goblins and maybe blood elves and undead, depending on definition... Orcs, Tauren and Trolls are like the most peaceful in Azeroth... except Gnomes maybe =P

Blood Elves aren't evil. The Sunwell is reactivated, so they don't use demonic magic anymore and the Blood Knights believe in the Holy Light once again and don't capture a Naaru anymore.

They will always have those green eyes because of the corruption, like the orcs still have their green skin color.
But since the Sunwell is reactivated, they no longer need a demonic source of magic to feed their hunger for magic.
In addition, Chris Metzen confirmed that the Blood Elves will go "back to their roots". (Belive in the Holy Light, Use of the Sunwell as a source of magic, etc.)

The horde was only evil when ner'zhul or gul'dan were its leaders. Even then, a good part of the horde wasnt evil. And before the horde the orcs were good

they used to live in peace with the dreaneis untill the burning legion commanded the horde to war then they figured out a portal from dreanor to azeroth and ner'zhul was commanded by kil'jaiden who destroied him so if this didnt happen and sargeras wasnt a bitch theyde peace and yes horde is good garrosh wants to war bettwen the alliance and horde

*sigh* before wow alliance was good and horde was evil because thats the way things were...during thralls time things started to change and thrall was an orc the was honorable not judging people by their race but by honor. King varian on the other hand is more like garrosh but at the same time he isnt all that bad because he wants help his people..how ever he isnt the greatest leader because he lets his emotions get to him. During wow both factions do not understand each other

No, Varian is doing the right thing, there can't be peace between the horde and the alliance.. look at undercity, they're taking humans captive to make abominations out of them. Alliance also does bad things to the horde and it keeps escalating

I know, does it feel like a bit of a cheat to anyone else what they are doing with the Worgen and all? The Worgen plotline and atmosphere is going to be annoyingly similair to the Forsaken's and it's just going to feel like a major thunder stealer. I know their architecture is a BIT different (their cities and towns are more Victorian gothic) but it seems like there is going to be a major race and zone overlap.

ofcourse the forsaken and worgen are alike, they both changed into something different than human beings.
apart from that is that the worgen genuinly want to help the alliance instead of use it for theyr own ends.

The forsaken are not exclusively ex-human, theres quite a large mix of high elf in there as well, even trolls and orcs (Although there are no game models that hint to this, you have to check through the time line.)
