I use to swim in Canals, Lakes in south florida all the time in the 90's but take in consideration that there was alot less land development in the 90's than there is today. Meaning i wouldnt swim in the same lakes and canals that I did in 1990's.

I saw minimal amount of alligators in the 90's but today in south florida I see them often
